Avis
A small airport, friendly staff, straightforward check in but the security line can be a bit long as the small number of staff process the influx of passengers that normally arrive at similar times. A few small shops inside the terminal.
Very nice place for an airport. Peaceful too. A wonderful restaurant only 17.9 Euros for lunch. Cafe and bar great too with English speaking staff. Parking is a little full but hey ho. One of the most chilled airports I've seen.
Hidden fees, rude service, and unfair charges — very disappointed I had a terrible experience with Volotea and I would not recommend this airline. On my first flight from Paris Orly to Tarbes, we were charged 30€ per person because we supposedly did not check in online. We were never clearly informed that online check-in was mandatory to avoid extra fees. They claimed they sent an email, but we never received anything. It felt like a trap designed to make passengers pay at the airport. On the return flight from Tarbes to Orly, we made sure to check in online in advance to avoid any additional charges. However, at the gate they still forced us to pay 40€ for a carry-on bag, even though we brought the exact same cabin baggage we had with us. Customer service was also extremely rude and unhelpful. Overall, this airline seems to rely on hidden fees and pressure at the airport rather than transparent pricing. I have never experienced such poor treatment from an airline. Very disappointed — I will avoid Volotea in the future.
Very small airport about 30 minute drive from Lourdes. Nice location. Not accessible by bus or public transport. Not alot of staff. Security is small and tight. They check all bags. There is a restaurant and cafe inside here with only the stuff you would need. Bathrooms are clean. Staff are friendly.
Small local airport, few short range flights, mainly pilgrim charters. Safety controls at the arrival should be certainly improved. Spent about 40 minutes in line waiting only for the ID check after arrival from Italy. For aircraft passionate and spotters, on the remote areas of this airport you could see a lot of stored airbus aircraft. Really impressive and interesting.
We were about the second flight out of the airport on a Saturday morning. So not too crowded, making checking in and security less stressful. This is quite a small terminal but very pleasant to pass through.
Pleasant little calm airport. Very friendly staff with good English. Modern and clean. Strong on security. A nice cafe and duty free shopping. There is a direct shuttle bus to Lourdes coordinated with flights costing 3€. There is also a regular bus costing 1€ with stops on the way. Get bus timetables online. A taxi can cost up to 40€.
Interesting history and religious importance but over commercialised and surprisingly noisy in the early hours. Highlights would be the nightly candlelight procession (candles are cheaper to buy in the basilica grounds). Also worth visiting the houses of St Bernadette (two of them). Fine for a short break of a couple of days
