Found a beautiful spot ❤️

Super area to drop your anchor (as far as I could see, there was no other way to get there), and jump off the back of the boat to swim in crystal-clear waters. There are a few beaches and I'm told some yachties scout for BBQ driftwood

Well I’m sad to report that Alimia is in a sorry state. There is enormous amount of rubbish, mostly plastic, on the shore and on the sea bed. Yes it’s a safe anchorage but it looks very sad and neglected like this. I can only hope that the commercial boats will make the effort to clean it up as tourists won’t want to come here in the state it’s in. Particularly sad as it demonstrates that even the beautiful Aegean Sea is full of dreadful plastic. I guess there has been no incentive and no budget to clean up this year but let’s hope for better in 2021.

Greek island with the same name (Alimia ) the last few centuries. Recently Turkey discovered "disputed "islands in Aegean sea ( Aegean = from the name of the ancient Greek hero Aegeas). In this way Turkey is promoting Russia's plans of destabilisation of NATO's South wing, rising the tension between two NATO allies
