BOTANIK

A fellow traveller yesterday asked me about my visit to the Botanical Garden here and I had to regretfully suggest she seek a different destination. The garden looks like there was investment in design and development that has since languished. The plant beds and water gardens appeared grown over or just scrawny. I have been to much more attractive gardens than this one. I do think the space could be recovered into a beautifu and educational destination, but as of June, 2026, I suggest you choose another place to explore.

Really nice spot for a relaxing walk in Bordeaux. The gardens are well maintained and peaceful, with a good variety of plants and little areas to sit and unwind. It’s not huge, but perfect for a short visit or break from the city. Would’ve liked a bit more to explore, but still definitely worth a stop 👍

This is a pretty Botanical Garden with an array of plants. My favourite was the water plants. I have seen better ones but being free I was impressed with the variety. It's worth the visit if in the Bastide!

Went to the free access area outdoors. It was nice with some sculptures and a variety of plants, but gave the impression of being poorly looked after. I dearly recommend the gift shop!

This delightful arrangement of flowers spans across vast, green and bright land flourishing with vibrant life. You earn a buzz from visiting this spectacular area, enchanting yourself with a prideful, innocent, charming and peaceful aura. There is no such things in this beautiful botanical garden that may harm ones expierence in any way. The walkways are swept and kept in a tidy manner in such a graceful way. I believe unkempt clothes are frowned upon and that one must look smart and fit for survey. If your a botanical expert, a gardener or a humble person who wants to experience the wonders and joy of this garden, your bound to complete your seek of happiness. You will find such care and love you thought was impossible by only taking a glance to the carefully decorated area. I hope whom is reading this knows that such places are this way because we want it to be that way. Don't destroy a fantastic, one of a kind, nature landmark. Will most definitely come again for a peace of mind.

The botanical garden of Bordeaux is a lovely oasis of peace close to the city center. We reached the garden through the ferry boat since we had to cross the river to get there and it took only ten minutes. The garden is really relaxing. You can either sit on the grass or walk on the trails while looking at all the plants and trees. The small lake is also a beautiful spot. Fully recommended to chill out during a visit to the city.

Charming garden with some very interesting exhibits! It’s relaxed and walkable. The center was closed on Monday so we didn’t see that. Cute frogs in the ponds. Beautiful trees and flowers.

Great place to stroll, enjoy open air, wonderful flowers and peaceful setting.
