This camping/parc is great for kids. Enough facilities for them to enjoy. Definitely worth it for families.

Some parts are beautiful but it’s a combination of old and new. The old houses are old. The swimming pool is nice but the rest is not a 5 star campsite. People are walking the dogs on the campsite and not cleaning up. It’s a Max of 3 stars. Also the language which is spoken is only French and very bad English. Also for a 5 star campsite not done.

5 Star water park but poor, overcrowded accommodation! The pool facilities are great, and the local beaches are also lovely, excellent for sandcastles and body boarding. We have been to other Capfuns but here the holiday homes are packed in with over 300 on the site which means there is little to no privacy. Our chalet was old/tired, and the bedroom/lounge areas overlooked the neighbour’s deck which basically meant keeping our curtains drawn. There were a lot of people hanging towels up outside their windows to get some privacy. The problem for us was greater than these issues. We booked what turned out to be a 25sqm chalet based on the layout shown on the website. When we arrived, we were given a chalet that seemed much smaller, and we queried this and were told that it was correct, and the images were “non contractual”. Having researched it we found out that the layout shown was for a 27sqm chalet but has been labelled as 25sqm (although the actual size may only have been 24.4sqm!) This may not seem like a lot but compared to what was advertised we were missing an additional table, 2 chairs, and a lot of kitchen work surface. Outside the deck was half the size and the covered section was not big enough to even keep our towels dry on the dryer when it rained let alone the table/chairs. Ironically when looking we nearly got the next size up but liked the layout shown, if we had seen the layout we got, we would have paid more! To say the layout image is “non contractual” does not cut the mustard for us; see the small layout and get bigger it’s a bonus but show the large and get the small, that is a con! Previously we have loved Capfun but this has broken our trust, and we question if we should use them again. Other things to note: Charcoal BBQs are banned but they do not have enough gas ones to hire. Bikes cannot be hired on a Saturday. There are no sun loungers anywhere and soap/toilet paper is virtually non-existent in public spaces.

This is my 2nd year at this park. Last year everything was 5 star. This year little things are missing like no sunloungers were provided and when I requested one I was refused. Also the only food outlet isn't close to the quality of the service I enjoyed last year. The portions are half the size they were, have increased in price and are not close to tasting as good as last year. Also only one or two of the staff had any English. Last year the animation team were brilliant. They went out of their way to present their entertainment in English as well as French, but this year we were totally excluded from the activities programme because of the language barrier. In summary I would say that if you are a French speaker then I could recommend this park, but if your French is limited then I would have to advise against. Being excluded from amenities and services that I have paid a premium to enjoy tarnishes the whole experience and is isolating. A real shame because last year we had a great time and that is the whole reason we decided to return. We'll have to explore other options for next year I think. :(
