I had a fantastic stay at Hôtel Cap Maya from August 8–12. The team was so welcoming and friendly, and their hospitality made us feel right at home. The location was perfect — close to everything in Cap d’Agde, yet peaceful for relaxing evenings. The only small drawback was that the WiFi was a bit spotty and at times didn’t work in our room, but this didn’t take away from our overall enjoyment. I truly enjoyed our time here and will happily return on our next visit. Thank you for a wonderful experience!”

We were in the Hotel for 7 nights. The Hotel was clean and pretty quiet. It is directly near the city so you have about 1 minute by foot and you'll be by the peers. The staff was friendly and always happy. Also they kept the distance to you when you came in and wore the mask nearly always. It was a great time, easy to adjust shower, not like in every other hotel where you need to figure out the temperature for 30 minutes. Great beds and also a great AC.

Lovely friendly couple greeted us as we arrived.. very helpful explaining about car parking free over night even though we didn't speak French & they didn't speak English, they had explanary note typed up in English to read... Bedrooms & Bathroom basic but very clean... walking distance to the marina for restaurants & shops. & Market on a Saturday morning.. We would stay again.. We didn't stay for breakfast but it was a Buffet..

We booked last minute for one night on 19/08/2020 2 adults 1 child directly with the hotel.|The room was €198, parking €18 and €12 per adult for breakfast, my daughter ate free.|We paid at reception upon arrival a total of €240 plus taxe de séjour. We were greeted by a friendly man on reception.|We were allocated a front facing room on the 2nd floor, just above reception which is on a busy road opposite a building site.|The room was clean enough but extremely dated and very very small for 3 people. We found the only way to make it work was for one person to move around at a time. The beds were hard and uncomfortable but the tiny bathroom was well equipped with hairdryer and magnifying mirror. Although I did have to bend down to have a shower as the bar holding the shower head came to shoulder height at best (I am 6ft ). Air conditioning was fine, WiFi didn’t work. No balcony no blinds, it was either dark room or open curtains for everyone to see in.|The most significant down side of this hotel is the noise, zero soundproofing you can hear reception the cars driving past, the neighbours, well everything really. A formula one hotel is much better in terms of sound proofing.||Although no a buffet given the current conditions breakfast was fine but over priced, we paid €8 in a different hotel in Cap dAgde for a better breakfast the week before.||We checked out at 10:30am, we requested to leave our car in the car park for an extra hour, considering we paid €18 for the space this was not an unreasonable request but the manager made a really big deal of letting us do this.||So to sum up, the Opal hotel is fine for a short stay but is worth no more than €60 per night maybe €100 high season and that is only because of the location. It needs a major overhaul to justify the star rating and the exorbitant prices.

please be aware the manager is very aggressive and rude. We paid over 250 euros pr night for a family room, which was very basic. The location is fantastic as very close to the port. However on a roundabout and busy street. My advice would be not to stay here, look for something else, with a nicer vibe. It all seemed to be money grabbing from the minute we arrived in the hotel - very odd - we work in the travel industry and have never come across this sort of behaviour from staff.|

What a great place to stay, the room was good and staff very good to deal with, plenty of variety for breakfast. Nice and close to the port. We hired pusgbikes for 2 days and cycled around. The hotel had a spot to chain them up to, will go back there again.

This hotel was one of the worst choices so far. The staff is friendly at first, untill you pay. We got a budget room because no others were available. The wifi didn’t work. When I called the front desk, they told me they would call me back with a solution, but they never did. The curtains just fell off the ceiling without even touching them. When confronting the front desk in the morning about the water not being hot, a lot of noise, the wifi not working and the curtains falling of, they simply said it was our own fault and that they could do nothing. In the end, the water got hot but we were already packed to go. They started getting angry and said we were just looking for problems. They said: YOU SHOULD HAVE PACKED UP YESTERDAY AND SEARCH ANOTHER HOTEL. This is simply not customer service. This hotel is horrible. When I told them I would write a bad review, they said go ahead. So here it is. I can’t believe they say this is a three star hotel, because it’s a big lie!!

We booked a room after reading that this is a 3*** Hotel and were expecting to get 3*** confort but we were very dissapointed. The guys at chek-in were kind, but when we went upstaires there was this smell like humidity/mold ... the room itself was not confortable, there is no fridge and no water boiler in the room like you would expect from a 3***hotel... there are no curtains at the windows, there is only a short drapery to darken the room so when you need light you pull it away and the place looks like an abandoned house... the bathroom also looks old and has the same humid smell... the distance to the port is really short but to the beach it‘s a 20-25-30min walk. Long story short, this place has not deserved to be called a 3*** Hotel. This is more like a guest house where there should be low prices so you go there with no expectations. We booked 8 nights but left the second day because we really hated it. You can get the same low quality somewhere else for half price.
