FAJOUX JEAN-CHARLES

I chose to visit this winery based on research I had done because Cabernet Franc is my favorite red wine. This was tied with one other winery as my favorite wines in the area! Ian was our guide through the tasting and was incredibly knowledgeable about their wines, the terroir and the area. He was patient, took time with us and made us feel very welcome, like old friends. Just a really nice man. We tasted through 5 wines, including a Cab Franc Rose that was one of the best Roses I’ve had! Loved it! We ended up buying 12 bottles. Thank you Ian for helping create such a wonderful memory for my wife and I! Cheers and we hope to see you at our winery in the states sometime!

Fantastic wines. We opted for the wine tasting only and our host Fanny was very interesting when describing to us the various wines and history of the domaine. Worth a visit for sure!

Was very excited to visit this esteemed winery with such a reputation. I pour these wines as a sommelier and I pre booked a tasting. To be honest had a very lackluster tasting with zero feeling. There are many more wineries to visit in the Loire. This is my third visit to Loire and was quite disappointed considering how far we travelled. Didn't get to see any production or learn how the wine is made. Just a stand-up tasting at a very small bar. I spent hours with other wineries and winemakers but this was done in less time it took for me to drive there. Quite disappointing since I pour these wines.

First rate wines and a fascinating tasting with Ian who was a knowledgeable, friendly and gracious host. A must if you're in the area.
