A really beautiful park full of cute hamlets and of hidden gems. Every detour brings you a new scenic view. Definitely worth the visit.

This is a beautiful area for hiking along trails but don't expect panoramic views. The attractions are the clues of history is the dry stone walls and the architecture of the villages and farm buildings.

The campsite at Brenge was closed September 21 but we were OK with a campervan. There is a magnigicant Rock overlooking the village. Walk south from the bridge and you will see a trail the turns east after a kilometer or so. Follow the trail until you get to a cliff top east of the big rock. Another trail heads west from here. Well worth the little effort.

Beautiful airfield, a friendly and helpful crew who are all enthusiasts. Fuel and food available.

Wonderful, gaunt beauty and much wildlife here including insects, birds, deer, wild pigs and an occasional wolf (I haven’t seen it!) Great for hiking, cycling, pot-holing, cave diving, canoeing….. But a wildlife refuge it is not! Hunting is very common. In the hunting season you must beware of La Chasse. Every year people, as well as wildlife are shot and killed. The dogs are not always under control. Wear a hi viz vest or jacket.

This is a very wide protected mostly wild area (60km x 30km) where you will find magnificent cliffs and rivers, nice forests, historical villages and more if you go around by car. Better to search and plan the spots you visit as the area is wide and has many things to offer. You could also take random roads and see where it takes you if you're adventurous.

Nice place to visit with children. Entrance fee is correct, but do not expect an experience like that of a zoo. It's pleasant to walk around and watch + feed the monkeys by hand, but this said it'll be maximum of a 1.5 hour visit and you seen it all. If it entrance fee was higher I wouldn't go, but at the price they currently ask, why not stop by.
