😊: Nice rural place to stay and the lady that manages it is very nice offering dinner and breakfast. The room was nice and there was a communal balcony looking out into the fields. Overall it was a nice place to stay in rural France.. 😢: Not much not to like, some of the roads getting to the place are a bit deformed and there didnt seem to be any nearby shops however that also adds to the rural charm..
😊: Friendly host and well appointed and quaint country experience. The optional dinner offer was lovely as was the inclusive breakfast of baguette, cheese, corn flakes and coffee. ☺️. 😢: Ideally I would have liked some fresh fruit as part of the breakfast (there was orange juice). No shower gel was provided, fortunately I had some with me but it could have been awkward..
Stayed for one night room was clean and comfortable linen was clean, shower small cubicle for a larger person. We requested dinner and were given a time. We arrived for food at the appropriate time and were served with a paupers tea beans couscous and a small piece of chicken in a white sauce. Breakfast was minimal orange juice and jam and toast. One pot of yogurt and enough coffee for one cup each. The kicker was when we ask for the bill for dinner and were charged €50 seems rather a lot when we were not even given a choice of foods.
We stopped off here after a long drive through France. It is a small B&B (Chambres D'hote) in a tiny rural village. The rooms are in an old farm building and the owner also runs a local farm as well as the small holding behind the rooms. The evening meal was homemade (including the wine) and delicious. Breakfast was very French with baguettes, yoghurt cheese etc. There are various dogs, cats, geese and rabbits around the building and hundreds of swallows overhead. The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly and patient with out limited French. Overall a delightful, relaxing and quirky place to stay.
Nice peaceful house, breakfast was really to basic only marmelade and cheese (Brie),no eggs or ham, wifi was slow and didn't worked all the time, chambres were old fashion. I booked this place with a bongobon so I payed to much and the promised me a basket with local products but we never received it.
I needed a place to stop driving through the Ardennes by motorbike... this guest house was perfect. Simple but comfortable room with decent WiFi and very tasty breakfast (it's France so it's bread, jam, yogurt, cheeses and coffee) Recommended as long as you have your own transport as there is no cafe/bar in the village
Situated in a hamlet so quiet it almost seems deserted this establishment offers decent, neat small rooms at affordable prices. We requested an evening meal too and wow, what a meal! Traditional, wholesome cooking: all taste (without the looks so don't be put off!) and plenty of it. |
We spend two nights in this charming B&B with our toddler. Pierrette was a wonderful hostess - warm, discreet yet informative. The room we stayed in was very clean and had everything we needed. Make sure to stay for the dinner!
