We came here after spending some time in lovely Quintin. Actually came for the chateau. Or what's left of it. It's really a bit underwhelming. Of course it's more ruins than castle and we knew that. But compared to the many many other castles and ruins we've seen it's just a bit plain, a bit small. It's ok and worth a look. But don't need to make a daytrip out of it. But what made it definitely worth to come here was the nice walk around the Etang de Corlay. The small lake right next to the castle. A wonderful and easy stroll.
Lovely place for a walk around the lakes.
A bit run down. The Marie needs to help it. We wanted to see the horse carriage museum but locked. Nice walk round moat.
An enjoyable walk around the lake in nice surroundings. Looks a good spot for fishing too.
Nice little stop off. Overnight parking, village has restaurant's and bar's, also a hotel. Very picturesque.
