Cozy family room with every amenity we needed. The manager, Jean‑Michel, is professional, friendly, and always attentive to every detail. He truly elevates the experience. We will definitely be coming back.
This hotel is in Ciboure, very close to st. Jean de Luz which is only separated by a bridge. The hotel also overlooks the bay in a quite nice position, even if a bit inconvenient by car: it is right on the street with no parking lot. The staff was very welcoming and kind and the wifi was good. The reception and hall looked very nice. ||The only issue was with the bedroom: really tiny and the bathroom was literally a box added to have en-suite facilities. Just ok if you are very intimate with your travel buddy, as you will not have much privacy. Quality of sleep was also quite poor, because of the bed itself, small for 2 and not really comfortable. ||We haven't had breakfast, but the room had a nice view.
You have got to stay at this place to fully appreciate! What an excellent choice! The lady at the desk spoke fluent English, was friendly and helpful. Rooms newly remodeled with ocean view, great enclosed deck. Comfortable beds, pillows and linens. Awesome waterfall shower, huge soft bath towels...it was perfect! Truly the icing on the cake of my visit!! Highly recommend
This small hotel is well situated to visit the region, St Jean de Luz and Ciboure are in walking distance. The owner gave us a very heartly welcome. The hotel is nicely decorated and the room we had was charming. The breakfast (despite COVID) offered a rich selection on fruits, bread, yogurth and hot beverages. We only stayed one night but this hotel is on my list when I come back to the region!
This is more B&B than hotel very quaint with a seaside decor. There isnt an elevator so you will need to carry your luggage to the second floor. Rooms and bathroom were small but we easily managed. Easy walking to beach area, shopping, resturants and bars. Nice little breasfast area.
My first impression was that the shutters and windows needed a clean. Inside my nostrils were overpowered by the smell of a cleaning fluid or air freshener. It really was awful. Looking at the photos I would say our room no. 5 was the smallest with a cubicle bathroom with a tiny shower and horrible plastic shower curtain that stuck to your bum when showering! Although there was peeling paint the room was clean and tidy. It looks like there is a refurb going on as there are electrical wires in view in the corridors. Our room faced a side street. With the window open it was lovely to hear the sea whooshing in but the traffic noise was very loud. The second night we slept with the window closed. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Parking was 11 € but we parked in the car park opposite for free. A good location for St Jean de Luz and in the other direction Socoa.
Simple hotel a bit away from the bustle of St Jean de Luz. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are ok but lugging suitcases up stairs a bit awkward. Negatives were the wifi which was basically unusable and the telephone - not able to have a call from overseas put through to the room (very odd).
An old building facing the boardwalk but far enough away to feel relaxing. The old building has been remodeled, keeping the old charm in the right areas, but the rooms are fully updated. Good AC. The man at the front desk was excellent!
