Dear Lisa, I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for your warm and professional welcome during my stay at Campanile. I’ve been traveling around France and staying at many different hotels, and I’ve often found it difficult to communicate in English at the front desk. Meeting someone as friendly, smiling, and fluent in English as you was a real pleasure and a relief. You made me feel at home from the moment I arrived, and that truly made a difference in my stay. Thanks again for your kindness and excellent service — it was much appreciated!
For travelling through France just ideal- very friendly staff and reception open - no electronic checkin. Very clean rooms and parking safely in front of the hotel.
It’s ok for an overnight and the price is right. There is walking space for travelers who have been cooped up in cars. I definitely appreciated having food and drink onsite. The room was clean but the bathroom left a lot to be desired, hence the lower rating. Still worth stopping by.
The room is disgusting. Alive and squished mosquitoes throughout the whole room. Highly doubt that the room ever gets cleaned. There are spider webs in every corner. Don’t trust the pictures in the internet. There is barely any light in the room. Bathroom was clean but there were bugs all on the ceiling. If mosquitoes like you I do not recommend staying there.
I was accommodated in this "hotel" with two more friends ... I asked for a room with three separate beds and I received a room with two beds + a lower, smaller one, which comes out from under one of the others! I noticed that there are no towels in the room at all! Asking at the front desk, they justified themselves that it was stolen a week ago from a group staying there and that they were sorry, but they had nowhere to give me! The third bed did not have a pillow and I did not receive one! It's the most disastrous hotel I've ever stayed in!
We arrived around 8pm, dead tired, after having travelled for 13 hours. We went to our room, turned on the aircondition and went down to the restaurant for dinner. The waitress was very unfriendly. The food was not properly cooked - the pizza had unthawed frozen meat in it... We went back to our room, where it became obvious that the aircondition did not work. We went down to the reception asking to change rooms. The receptionist did not accept this. She said she had slept in the room herself recently, and the aircondtion worked then. She sent one of her underlings to check the situation. She understood right away that the thing didn't work. The receptionist still would not accept this. She said she would come to our room in a few minutes to check herself. After 15 minutes we went back down. She was sitting at her desk, eating ice-cream... Reluctantly, she followed us back to our room. She finally agreed that the aircondition didn't work properly, but said this was due to the fact that the whole system had just been activated. When we pointed out that the outside blinds didn't work either, she FINALLY gave us another room. But I had to come down with the key to the "old" room!||In any other hotel in the whole, wide world, they would promptly have offered us another room. What is the point of arguing with the guests like that?
Checked in promptly, room only had two towels size of large face cloths. Had dinner in restaurant which was fine and requested 2 bath towels. On leaving, they only had one for us. Not happy! Mattress was uncomfortable, had large dip in middle!! This was a very expensive Campanile I believe due to the location, you can see it as you pass through the toll on the A7, but in no way is it worth the extra. Breakfast ok although fresh coffee now replaced with machine coffee. Disappointing stay. Don't be tempted by its location certainly not worth advertised price of 120 Euros!
Stayed here for one nit on the way to St Tropez. Good location and not far from the town (especially the sweet factory) but the hotel room wasn't great....smelt all musty and there was no hairdryer. It was dark and dingy but we didn't need anything flash so it was just about OK. Reception didn't speak any English so I had to use my dreadful French. Didn't eat there as it was only ten mins to McDonalds in town.
