Please avoid this hospital at all costs. A truly unacceptable experience. I've unfortunately been in a couple different hospitals thoroughout the world and this was the Worst Hospital experience I've ever had. Urgences Médicales de Paris is a better option at first. I spent a total of 20 houra over 2 days and in that time, spent no more than 35 minutes in the presence of doctors or nurses. What's more there was no communication so it was impossible to know what was going on or what they were waiting for - even when I asked in French - you'll be lucky if they speak English just ok. I saw an older woman wait for 6 hours without anyone even talk to her about what was happening or why she was waiting. There was no drinking water, food, even the vending machines didn't work. The rooms and bathrooms were somewhat dirty and although most doctors were friendly, some were cold and distracted. This was an unacceptable level of service of any kind and deeply unacceptable for a hospital. Please please please avoid if you have any possibility to do so.

Good services but very bad communications. If you are planning to do a procedure on Friday and if you'll get some complications of it you will struggle along during the weekend. There are no doctors during the weekend just residents and they do nothing. Never make an appointment on Friday you will get very dissatisfied. The decisions are made very slowly, and if you struggle or have some pain you will not get much attention. If you ask to talk to a doctor he or she can never come to you. I have the feeling that all the people from the hospital, are waiting for the doctors in the working days.

We are coming from Austria. Because my daughter was sick, we went to the hospital. When we went to the information desk, it was on 20.08.2025 around 17:00. There were two women standing there, both over 50 years old. My wife asked them if they spoke English or German, or if there was anyone in the hospital who could speak these languages. Both of them just stared straight into our eyes and kept speaking French. In the end, we somehow managed to understand the French a little and went to the emergency room. On the way, we asked a nurse where the emergency room was. She was chewing gum, playing with her phone, and although she said she knew English, she only pointed with her finger to show the way. Finally, we arrived at the emergency room. And guess what happened? They told us: “This is only for adults.” and sent us to another hospital. Yet if they had told us right at the beginning, at the information desk, that this was an adults-only hospital, we would not have lost time or gone through all this trouble. Such a big hospital, even called European Hospital, but the staff at the information desk don’t even know English at an A1 level – this is a huge disgrace. In one of the founding countries of the European Union, something like this is truly shameful.

I’m from the USA and our healthcare system is very different so I will only be reviewing things that I felt the hospital can directly control: 1. People service (was horrible) 2. Facility (was dirty) I was ran over by a guy on an electric bike leading to a broken and displaced right ankle. Nursing care was horrible and non-existent. After being dropped off by the ambulance, I was checked in within 15 minutes but did not see a nurse for 2 hours. I kept flagging random people for pain meds and everyone would say, I’m not your nurse or let me get your nurse yet no one would come. Even when I saw my nurse after 2 hours, I DID NOT get any meds for another 1.5 hours until the medical student came by and he was the one who convinced the doctor to come see me and give me pain meds (3.5 hours later). This was literally the theme for my entire 16 hour stay. Nursing never came by unless I flagged multiple people. Even just getting some water was impossible! MD Care: I would said the MD care was ok. Communication was lacking (they did not update me on plan of care) but their bedside manners were significantly better than the nurses. My ankle did have to be reduced twice because it was not done properly the first time. This was the main reason I opted to wait on surgery until I got back into the states. I didn’t fully trust the care there. The facility was also very dirty and not handicap friendly. Their elevator will not accommodate a wheelchair so I had to take the elevator up and down without a wheelchair. The bathrooms were dirty and even the patient rooms were dirty. This would not fly in the US and I would imagine France would not tolerate this either.

The doctor who saw me was very professional and kind. The nurses and the other staff also took care of me, and were very friendly. There wasn’t much waiting time. The hospital is very well equipped with many modern facilities, as far I could observe. Was pleasantly surprised to see how developed hospitals here are, since it’s my first time being in one, for a few hours. I was on a hunger strike, and they respected my situation but explained the situation and consequences. It’s good to know about the medical system here, in case I do need to seek medical attention. The medical bill was reasonable. Would not be hesitant to return :)

My father is admitted in this hospital. He has gastrointestinal cancer. He often has to go through many medical test and each time they make him wait for 5-6 hours without any food intake. The food they provide is very poor quality. And the doctors or nurse are not available most of the time for any kinds of supervision or help. Yesterday they kept him waiting for 6 long hours without any meal saying that they have to run a test and after 6 hours they said they will not do the test today. It has happened earlier as well. Once they did endoscopy on him, it was not done properly so they had to do it once again which left him very weak. And these under developed procedures is taking a toll on his physical health. Please upgrade your services. My father is away from our family and seeing him left out without any care is so disheartening for the family. Please treat the patients with care and love.

Our experience has been far from acceptable, particularly in terms of medication administration, cleanliness, and staff professionalism. Firstly, there have been multiple instances where my father’s critical medications, including blood pressure and kidney anti-rejection medications, were not given on time or were completely forgotten. On one occasion, a nurse gave my father his medication three hours earlier than the prescribed time, which could have had serious consequences. Additionally, during the night, there was no nurse checking on my dad. The cleanliness of the hospital leaves much to be desired. The environment is not being maintained to a hygienic standard, which is alarming for a healthcare facility. To add to our frustrations, we are now on the second day of his stay and have yet to see a doctor; only an intern has visited my father’s room.
