Location was disgusting, grey and sad. Run as fast as you can from Boulogne-sur-Mer. The lights were unpredictable and didn't work when turned on. Bugs in corners of the room. It obviously hadn't been cleaned well in a while. The walls were thin and it was noisy. light pollution everywhere but the blackout curtains kept it mostly dark. creepy buildings surrounding it. The food was very small and portions weren't great. The water tasted odd and the peas and carrots were grim. The staff were nice but only spoke french and the language barrier made it hard to communicate.

The rooms were horrible! Me and a group of classmates were staying at this hostel for 1 day, and some of us were crying because of how horrendous this place was. Not only were the rooms filthy with outdated systems and dust, the plumbing was barely working! Our sink was leaking, and all the staff did was putting a bucket under the sink. The shelves were bent and the only coat hanger was broken. There were only 2 working plugs in the room for 3. The beds were firm and just foam mattresses. Did I mention the floor was covered in dust and dirt? Now only that, there was a hole in the wall! This is the cheapest of cheap. The breakfast and dinner options were limited. The breakfast was mediocre and edible, but dinner was very unfulfilled, underwhelming and bland. My friend cried because of this, and saying that they regretted coming here. On the positive side, the staff were helpful and kind enough, although there was only 4 people that I directly saw. Overall, would not recommend unless you are VERY desperate for housing.

Where is the option for 0 stars. I genuinely could not imagine a worse building than this. Our bathroom had a line of mould longer than my will to live after staying here. Our window was also cracked so our room was filled with condensation in the morning. The rooms were also insanely inconsistent. I for instance had entirely different mattress to everyone else in my room, so it looked they found the mattresses on the streets. Our bath had rust in it and the shower head refused to stay up so it was just spraying water against the wall. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal; there just weren't any plates and the bananas looked like they were grown where the sun doesn't shine. They were literally black. The apple juice tasted like water and I had trouble identifying what the other juice was supposed to be. You would think you can just have water instead, but that just wasn't there. For your own safety please don't stay here.

Absolutuly traumatic, pee stains on pillow and sheets SO DONT STAY IN ROOM 207 toilet seat is broken shoe rack is dented. The breakfast gave me food poisoning so DONT try the plain yoghurt, visited from may 27 2026- may 30th 2026 DO NOT SATY HERE

Locations good, close to the train station, the surrounding buildings are nice, so do yourself a favour and stay in one of them. Staff was helpful on the phone but ultimately while they tried to accommodate they didn’t do well.

Worst ever stay. For your physical and mental health avoid. |We visited on a school visit, this hostel is dirty, unfriendly and unsafe. Our group hated every second of being inside the hostel. |Rooms are like a prison. Bathrooms are appalling, dirty, mould everywhere and holes in the wall. No locks on bathrooms. |Rooms have stained bedding and no facilities at all. No soap, towels, or anything to make your stay bearable. |A week in prison would be a better holiday. |Staff are rude, objectionable and unhelpful. The entire place looks like a war has occurred outside and spilled inside. |The food is shockingly bad. Our students treated really badly. The food has no taste and has a bonus you cannot have a plate at breakfast. You get a wet dirty tray for your food. ||We saw a mouse on day 3, no reception staff between 12 - 4pm. These people are willing to have school groups, yet seem to dislike children. Our group was told there was to be no waste at breakfast this according to the insane people who run the place this is acceptable.|Dog feaces on the outside bar, from the Great Dane who walks around the hotel at will including reception and the dining area. |The place is unsafe as sometimes people camp outside the hostel and they are drunk or stoned, unfortunately they try to enter the hostel. |Don’t not go to this hostel, it’s a disgrace that holiday companies use it. School leaders avoid, it is unsafe and there is no safeguarding.

Our first time in an HI in France, this was a good experience and much better than some of the reviews that we found! Clean. Decent. Safe and VERY HELPFUL staff. This compares very well to some of the bigger hostels that are (used to be!) in the UK. Location perfect for the station and 15 minutes walk to the centre. It's a Youth Hostel guys and not a HOTEL!!!! Remember that and you'll not be surprised.

Nice hostel at a good price. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It is nice and clean, despite other reviews i have seen. It was very quiet which was nice and there is also a beautiful dog that one of the workers brings in. Definatly recommend this place if you are budget traverling, or even if you are not on a budget. The beach is not too far of a walk and town is even closer. 😁😁||I booked this place through a website called Expedia wich told us it was in le touquet (it’s not) so for the first night we were ment to stay we went to the wrong place and ended up missing out check in and almost sleeping on the beach. So just a heads up if you are booking through Expedia, or any other website, to tripple check the location!!
