A nice little parc to strawl araond in
Beautiful park that surrounds the old Abbey of Bergues. Very nice to relax and bring your children to play. There is also a nice bar/restaurant for a break during the visit and a playground well maintained. Pity only that the abbey wasn't visitable..
Bergues is a delightful town to visit and our first stop every May and September on our travels in our motorhome. The Vauban fort is fascinating and we love to walk it's perimeter. The shops and cafes are a delight and the Groenburg Gardens with its flowerbeds, Abbey ruins and cafe a sheer joy. Market day is a big favourite where we can intermingle with the locals.
