Privileged to have been able to share this, if only for one night. Welcomed as if we were friends, used the BBQ l, drank the wine they make and sat and enjoyed the views. Somewhere I will always remember.

Beautiful little castle packed with lots of history. Incredible views. Very comfortable rooms. Super nice owners that will take the time to speak with you. Big swimming pool and lots of opportunities to visit things around. Definitely worth staying there just to support maintaining such a beautiful place and a local business.

We stayed 5 nights at Le Chateau des Faugs and from arrival to departure, it has been the most unbelievable experience. The most striking is that although you are coming as a guest, the experience is similar to visiting a friend or a family member. We were welcomed by a group of extremely friendly young people, ho helped us settled and gave us a tour of the property, as well as a lot of information about the activities we could do in the area. Our suite was spectacular - I assume all rooms are spectacular! We felt that we were truly back in 1890, with a large room, old furniture, decorations, paintings, statues, and a myriad of small objects reminding us of the past. Our suite was on the first floor, with view on the back of the castle (view on a water pond and the forest (very relaxing when one wakes up), with a large room (one double bed and a princess bed!), a "smaller" room with two beds and a very large bathroom with both shower and bath. The breakfast was so good and served everyday in a different room of the castle! We spent some time exploring the various rooms and learning about the D'Indy family, simply awesome! There is also a very nice swimming pool and a tennis court. We had a few chats with Christophe and his wife Isabelle, super friendly and welcoming! Le Chateau des Faugs has been the highlight of our stay in Europe this year! If you get a chance, go there!

The chateau was a great surprise for us. It was further from the motorway than we thought but that was the only bad surprise! The property is amazing and the peace and views from the terrace were amazing! The host was terrific and even though it was a Monday, in France and the beginning of September, when all the restaurants are closed or are shuttered up for their holidays, he managed to bring us a meal of baguette and a great selection of cheeses to eat on the terrace with a great bottle of the local wine. The host left around 8 pm and said that when we went to bed to just close the doors after us! He left us with a hotel full of antiques and trusted us. Amazing Gentleman. Would recommend for anybody who wants peace, history and great views.

Overpriced historical chateau with beautiful views. A magnificent chateau from the 1880s set within, what feels like, an Alpine setting. The ground floor has kept its historical feel whereas the bedrooms have wonderful modern bathrooms and a mishmash of furniture. Cots and old sofas fill the passageways. There is a pool, tennis courts and an antique billiard table with rather old cues. It is a quiet and peaceful setting. Cons: There are no cooking facilities although the nearest restaurant was a 5 minute drive away. The rooms are not in anyway luxurious although big and roomy with magnificent views. The suite is actually two attached bedrooms sharing a bathroom and there is not a separate lounge. Breakfast was a disaster! It is a basic continental breakfast for €15 each. There was one horribly overworked staff member who was trying to cope with breakfast for twenty people. We waited twenty minutes to be told where to sit, cereal and yoghurt was brought out after breakfast, and we were offered cheese when we had finished. It was not her fault and we were disappointed the owner was not around to assist her as she said her assistant was sick. We felt it was overpriced for what is was especially as we could compare it to another 2 historical chateaux we had visited the previous week.

Amazing chateau in the northern part of the Ardeche! We used it to spent our first night. Very friendly staff and owner. the rooms are big and comfortable. Guest respect the privacy of each other. Nice pool OK breakfast. Next time we stay one day longer. It worh to travel 20 min from A7 when you do a stop over.!

Amazing location in Boffres, France. Owners were extremely friendly and it is perfect for both adults and children as there are a pool and other amenities. It was a magical experience! Rooms are very spacious in good condition and breakfast was great. Would definitely visit again!

We went to Chateau des Faugs for 4 nights with our two boys at 7 and 10 years.|It was quite special to be invited into the home of the Faugs and everybody made us feel at home. The facilities including the tennis court and the pool area was good as well our junior suite.|But the whole concept needs to be developed. The stay included only breakfast, so the rest og the day and evening, you needed to go to town 15 min by car to eat and get supplies. The problem was, that we didn't have a refregiator or access to a kichen, to be able to have some supplies on the castle. So either, they should offer guests to buy supplies on the castle or at least make room for the guests, to be able to store food.
