The beuariful site which has seé many transformations over the past 900 years or so is currently being seriously renovated. The church and Chapel are still open for visits, the rest of the terrain is undergoing fargoing renovations. Since 1998 there are active monks at this site once again.
Wonderful Anglican service in this beautiful and atmospheric Chapel.
Beautiful abbey. Nice paintings. Old structure and old wood. i also learnt protestant burned it long ago. Worth the stop.
I stopped here quite by chance and was most impressed by its beauty. As the only person there it was lovely to wander around in complete peace and quiet.
A very spiritual place, with such history. I especially loved the choir on Wednesday evening.
