Avis
You have to be a fan of ceramics from picasso for this very niche museum. It's combined with the ceramics museum (same building, one ticket). Picasso produced 4,000 ceramics or 20+ per day. It's quickly and roughly done. If it wasn't for the artist's name, it'd be junk. I found it very naive and poorly designed in terms of art, while being over the top on the descriptions of the "master's work". I like ceramics, but definitely not Picasso's.
Beautiful place worth the visit. Loved it here. I also recommend to watch the document about Picasso which is very interesting and is a proof of how creative he was also with ceramics and posters.
This place exhibits many of Picasso’s late ceramic works created in Vallauris, and there is a large collection to enjoy. There is also a documentary that is worth watching, as well as a chapel with the theme of war and peace, which leaves a powerful and moving impression.
"A wonderful little museum in the small village of Vallauris, where Picasso lived for a few years. An amazing experience — full of history and artistic energy!"
Great small museum on Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), focusing on his pottery and the Picasso chapel painted by Picasso on the theme of war and peace. The museum also includes the Musee Magnelli, focusing on artist Alberto Magnelli (1888-1971), and a ceramic museum.
A superb exhibition of pottery, celebrating Picasso's years in Vallauris. The War and Peace mural in the chapel is vibrant and hauntingly dramatic.
Lovely little museum with some fantastic pieces on show
Extraordinary collection in a fascinating Grimaldi castle! Atmosphere and setting.
