What a find! !st off, great Price/Value with use of spa included!!! We were driving up the west coast of France and found this place suggested by someone in Biarritz as another good beach/surfing town...we wanted to take beginner's surf lessons. We normally would stay at a place right on the beach, but this hotel had so many extras...we booked it for 2 days and extended it another day. A+++ Service...what wonderful staff at the hotel!! 1st ever...we left a shirt in the room and the hotel emailed us after we left...60 years old and have traveled a lot and this has never happened! Room: Clean, newer...all we needed. No coffee in the room, but I purchased instant espresso at the store. LOVED the spa and outside pool! Steam room, traditional hot sauna, cold room, whirlpool...even cardio in the pool on bikes! We never heard of Lacanau Ocean....we LOVE the town and beaches. We will be back to visit here and stay for at least a week. On another note, it is great for kids and very kid-friendly. In the town of Lacanau (not Lacanau Ocean) there is a lake with a water park with inflated structures...slides and such! Kids will love that! Thank you James....Carole and Staff!!!

Cozy place with nice yard to sit in and enjoy jacuzzi and saunas. Clean rooms. Nice breakfast with lovely desserts every morning. You could loan bikes, wash clothes, and do barbecue.

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a two week holiday in the area. The hosts were extremely accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. When we had to leave at 5am to drive to our ferry, they left coffee and pastries out so we wouldn't have to travel on empty stomachs. The house is quiet and homely and our room at the back of the house was extremely peaceful, spacious, clean and comfortable. The garden is a lovely space too. It's an easy bike ride into town on the cycle path just behind the house. We wished we'd spent a bit longer there!

I booked a last 2 nights in this establishment at the end of a fantastic trip around the Dordogne. We artived early to check facilities and were met with a woman cleaner who could not speak English and a buffoon of an owner who allocated us the most rubbish room I have been on this holiday. The room looked like shabby chic done by an amateur with little artistry and the pathetic bathroom door offered no privacy. In fact once in the sliding door loo you struggled to get out without brute force.The kitchen was absolutely disgusting 😝I felt devastated. Also the accommodation was right next to a petrol station. My heart sank. We decided to pay the full cost for 2 nights but book an alternative place for our lsst night.The kitchen in the property was disgusting and there was a pan of prepared cut plums in a pan left out with flies able to climb all over them. We did not receive a welcome brief at all. The next day we informed the host we were leaving but paying for the 2 nights.We were met with antagonism and physical abuse. No remedy for our complaint. We left pleased to know we would not have to endure another night in a totally intolerable venue. This accommodation could have spoilt our holiday but the rude behaviour of the hosts we found a great last minute place near Beaudeaux airport at a much better price and fantastic facilities.

We spent one night during our cycling tour from Royan to Cap Ferret on the Velodyssée. The B&B is just off the cycle path, 2 km from the seafront. Very comfortable, much more than a B&B. Deck at the back is very well appointed. Room at front on the street but no noise thanks to excellent soundproofing. Room well appointed, new shower room. Hosts are extremely friendly and helpful.

Hotel is 2 km from the sea on the main road between the sea and the town. Plenty of restaurants on the sea front, with many catering for the younger surfers who visit the beautiful beach - including an Irish bar which looked very popular. More traditional restaurants are also plentiful with lots of choice of cuisine styles. ||Restaurant is a chambre d'hotes style. Check in ( notice on the door) is at 6pm. Although they invite you to sit in the garden if you arrive earlier. So watch your timings. ||Breakfast was very good, with lots of homemade preserves, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. Very good. Very tasty.

We really enjoyed staying here for a night on a big cycle tour down the atlantic coast. The hosts were kind, helpful and sociable and the breakfast was really nice. It's only a short cycle down the the beach at Lacanau which is really beautiful. A great stay

Arrived at 2pm to see if we had right place and if we had a fridge. We wanted to get some supermarket food. A cleaner showed us a communal fridge and said room would not be available until later, which we knew before we arrived.|1st impression was several overflowing wheely refuse bins & unsightly bottle dump.|We came back hours later, having booked 2 nights. There was no welcome or guidelines, just the cleaner pointing to an open room. |We put our shopping in fridge, via a disgusting kitchen. A large pan of plums (cut in half) were attracting flies as was a bin only 30cm away, and again overflowing & open to the air. (plums still there following day).|The kitchen was so bad that we agreed eating breakfast here (already paid for) was a step too far.|Our room was difficult to access with cases as doors fouled against the tile floor. I asked about internet and was told about how to log on. 3 devices failed to find their so called host.|Other points Toilet seat not secured. Toilet door jams Poor toilet privacy Dangerous wiring for TV Loose skirting board Faulty light - bulb missing No TV instructions could not get it to work Discarded bed outside our room. Photos on booking.com are totally different from reality. My belief is this is very misleading.|We decided to leave a highly depressing room to explore locally. We got back around 9pm, unable to access our items from the fridge as it was locked up. We had to phone them to access fridge.
