5.0 Luxe Voyager

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, historic hotel, perfectly located in the heart of Old Québec. My suite was spacious, spotless, and offered a stunning city view. I especially enjoyed relaxing at Bar 1608 with crafted cocktails and beautiful scenery. The lobby, bar, and restaurants were lively even in the off season. Service was excellent throughout, from valet and reception to Bar 1608 and room service. Another great Fairmont experience. I will definitely return.

It was an unforgettable experience in 2025 when, quite by chance, I stumbled upon an iconic hotel and decided to book it without any planning. I had been staying in another hotel in Lévis, and on the day I checked out, I headed to Quartier Petit Champlain for a little sightseeing. The cold that day—December 28—was almost inhuman, the kind that bites through your gloves and settles into your bones. I wandered through the charming streets until around 4 PM, by which time the light had faded and dusk wrapped the town in quiet magic. As I made my way back to my car, I noticed a grand, legendary building rising over the city’s skyline. On a whim, and knowing nothing about its history, I walked inside. And there it was… pure enchantment. ❤️ There are countless luxurious five-star hotels around the world, but this one radiates a level of class and heritage that’s hard to describe. It felt as though I had stepped into another time—past and present woven seamlessly together. Every corner was immaculate, the service warm yet perfectly refined, and the view… the kind that connects deeply with your mood and emotions, leaving you quietly awestruck. I ended up paying $800 plus tax and fees for that one night—and truly, it felt worth every dollar.

Le Chateau Frontenac is located in old Quebec City within walking distance to many fine shops and historical sites. This 19th century hotel with over 600 rooms is perched high on the Cap Diamant and overlooks the St. Lawrence River. The hotel staff are bilingual, friendly and accommodating. Do not miss the grand breakfast/brunch with a vast array of delicious choices. I was suprised however that there were no bureau drawers in my room. Friends also staying there noted the same thing. Also, no coffee maker and at least in my room no courtesy guest bathrobe. There was a large lighted closet with luggage stand. The room though small was spotless comfortable and well appointed. I enjoyed my stay and would return.

I visited Chateau Frontenac for a brief weekend. The check in was swift and the room was perfect. I had a wonderful view, amenities were great and enjoyed how clean and spotless it was. I had a comfortable, quiet stay. The lobby can get quite busy with all the curious visitors but there is a section for guests at the hotel though it could use additional amenities and sprucing. I highly recommend this hotel fora lovely, well located stay.

We had a wonderful visit to Quebec City. Staying at the Fairmont in old Quebec made it picture perfect. Breakfast at Place Dufferin and the pool were the highlights. The room was very comfortable and provided a cozy place to watch a movie after a long day. My friend was particularly impressed with the presentation of our room service order. What made this stay so nice were the staff. Ariel at the front desk created a warm first impression, Natalie our room attendant was attentive to detail and Maxime at Place Dufferin was exceedingly professional.

We stayed at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac for a birthday getaway in February, and it truly felt like something out of a fairytale. From the moment we arrived, everything was elegant, warm, and incredibly welcoming. The hotel itself is stunning—iconic, historic, and perfectly located in the heart of Old Quebec. Waking up to those breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River in the winter made it even more magical. It made our celebration feel so special. We also had dinner at Bistro Le Sam, and it was such a beautiful experience. The atmosphere was romantic, the food was delicious, and the views made the evening feel even more magical—perfect for a birthday celebration. What really stood out was the service. Everyone was attentive and kind, making sure our stay felt personal and memorable. You can tell they genuinely care about creating a beautiful experience for their guests. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want a romantic escape, this place is absolutely worth it. We left with the best memories and can’t wait to come back. ✨ Highly recommended for couples and special occasions.

We had the most beautiful stay for our honeymoon! The most romantic place to stay in Quebec City. We could see the city from our room, ordered room service, swam together daily, had the most comfortable king bed!! Just a beautiful hotel all around with incredible restaurants inside. The service was always friendly and prompt with no bumps. Anything you need is within walking distance. They left us a customized card and chocolates to congratulate us. Memorable to say the least :) Thank you!!

Outstanding location, and great views, even on “the inside” Pricey, but was worth it. Great service, very very clean, room was small but beautiful and very efficient. (From experience, seriously consider upgrade to king sized bed and/or exterior view. Our room was small, but worked just fine). Everywhere was very walkable, and gorgeous. Boardwalk right outside. Very quick trip to the “lower town/city,” and dozens of restaurants all within short walk. Bathrooms and showers were excellent. Bed comfy for us both. Again, pricey, but we found it to be worth it for all the reasons above, just wish we’d taken upgraded room for a small additional fee. 10/10 would gladly go back.
