We had a 4 night stay with skiing and passes included. We really enjoyed our stay. The food was really nice as well and the drinks. Perfect place for the ski lifts and to get all around the slopes. The family who run the business where super helpful. Helped us with taxi to the local town and back. Explained all the directions to the slopes, bars and restaurants however the food in the hotel was the best we had. We are booking to come here again and would highly reccomend staying here for the price. The area is very expensive and this is a high value for the money we paid

This hotel is perfect for a ski trip.|1 push of your poles to the ski lift if you are an intermediate ski level. Learner slope behind the hotel.|Hotel manager was fantastic, friendly and always available to help. We hired a car at the airport and parked at the door. Dry room for ski equipment, rooms are clean and everything you need for a ski holiday. |Food and drink were available at all times and always with a smile.

Stopped in randomly for lunch during a ski. Sat inside at the comfy benches end of the place, which despite not being part of the restaurant area, the very friendly waitress was more than happy to organise for us. The food and drink were great too. Atmosphere was calm and friendly, and luckily not busy at the time. Can recommend highly enough!!

We have just finished a very enjoyable short ski break at this hotel.|Family run with good food, drink and comfortable accommodation. Ski in ski out but you need to be a confident skier to reach the other areas of la Clusaz. We did feel a little bit cut off from the main resort as the buses are infrequent finishing at 7.10 pm and taxis are hard to book. |We ate at the hotel all 4 nights and took advantage of the happy hour between 4.30 - 6.30 each night due to the difficult transport situation which wasn’t ideal. A shuttle service or better transport to town would have made this go from a great holiday to a fantastic one. |A big thank you to the family for making our holiday a great one. They say “U’Fredy” comes from the old patois expression “O Froid”—“the cold.” At first, it sounds like a warning whispered down from the mountains, a reminder of the crisp alpine air and the biting chill waiting on the slopes. But the story takes a warmer turn. After a long day skiing through the snow, cheeks tingling and boots heavy, you step inside U’Fredy… and suddenly “the cold” is left at the door. What greets you instead is warmth, comfort, and that simple mountain hospitality that feels almost like home. The contrast is part of the magic: outside, the wild winter; inside, a cosy refuge where you can unwind, recharge, and relive the best moments of the day. So in the end, U’Fredy isn’t really about the cold—it’s about everything that makes coming back from it so special.

We were a very large family group- 21- booked in for a meal. Really exceptional food and great service. We had a lovely evening-Thank you!

Hotel is fantastic with nice cosy rooms, great family run business who can't do enough for you and make you feel so welcome especially Enzo who can't half knock up some good food. Would highly recommend.

Great location right next to the lift! Lovely staff. Super clean. Very comfortable beds. An excellent trip!! 👍
