For starters, this hospital was filthy dirty. A half full urinal had been left by a previous patient in my exam room. The nurse who emptied the urinal didn’t put on any gloves to so, nor did any of the doctors or nurses who physically touched me to examine me put on any gloves to do so, and they didn’t wash their hands before or after. It was really gross. Also the urinal I used was not promptly emptied and sat there so long I peed in it for a second time and then it still sat there unemptied for multiple hours more. Also, I saw sharps and pathological waste mixed in with regular trash, so this hospital is clearly not up to date with the modern world in terms of cleanliness; as a matter of fact, I would be pretty confident in saying that some hospitals in some of the more economically depressed areas of the world have higher cleanliness standards than this hospital. This hospital is unclean to the point of being unsafe by the standards of modern medical cleanliness. If that was the only thing this hospital did wrong, it would be bad enough However, this hospital is even more substandard about compassion towards patients who are in some way “other” than they are about cleanliness. The only way especially my doctor but also most of my nurses could have been any ruder to me was if they had physically struck me, and even that would have been more of a slight gradient worsening than a major escalation of hostility. If you don’t speak French and you have been wounded by gunfire in the parking lot of the hospital, the safest way for you to receive proper care would be to hold pressure on the wound and go to Belgium or get on the Channel Ferry and go to the hospital in Dover. That’s not because this hospital is incompetent medically; it’s because they completely lack compassion and human decency. Honestly, after the experience I had at this hospital this past Monday, I would rather bleed out alone on the sidewalk and face Satan and his demons as I burn in hell than to exp

Went to urgent care with a bad kidney infection. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Even though I don't speak French, everyone did their best to communicate in English, which I super appreciate. It WAS a VERY long wait, so be warned. I think they are either under-staffed or just not very fast with patients who aren't in imminent danger. I arrived around 21:00, was put into an exam room by 23:10, saw the doctor at 00:30, and was done and out by 02:15. By the time I had been to the police, then the pharmacy (it's a precaution that police have to approve medication dispensing overnight I guess) it was after 03:00. I would have been happier for faster service, but all interactions were good, so I can't really complain.

I had a bad nosebleed due to blood pressure. Even though it was busy, I found the hospital to be efficient and careful, and friendly. Thank you for your kindness.

Lunch break? Nobody works. Is there a long wait at "accueil"? One of the two working clerks will take her bag and close office. Waiting with the child in Emergency? The personnel is in the back room having a chat with the CGT representatives. Overall you have to come in late at your appointment. If you are on time you will find out the doctor is about to call in the person before the person who has the appointment before yours.

Looks like a broken toilet. They make you wait 7 hours in the 'emergency room'. No matter if you are in pain. If you can help it - go somewhere else.

Super modern and friendly hospital, well recommended. But absolutely avoid Dr Bataille who doesn’t care about your health and your traumas.
