BULUGU NARCIS

We were two couples spending five nights at this well placed hotel. We had two separate studio rooms. These rooms were very spacious. Plenty of room to stretch out. The rooms included a nice kitchenette with that was well stocked. The room and bathroom was very spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the room had a desk for doing work. The shower stall was generous and completely enclosed, minimizing water on the floor. The hotel is in a great central location. It is an easy walk from the train station as well as the trams and bus stop. The trams take you right into town. Just three stops. It's also easy to walk into the attractions of Caen. The streets around the hotel were very quiet in the evening. The staff were very helpful with all aspects of our stay from checking in to checking out. They have an on-site laundry room that the staff were able to assist us with. The breakfast room was very pleasant with large windows overlooking the adjacent river. The selection of food was a very nice. Including hot items such as sausage and eggs. The selection of breads, pastries and cheese was good. During our stay, there was one driving rainstorm that resulted in some water coming through a window. Mark and the hotel staff were very responsive to helping us remedy the situation. On the day of our departure, we were able to keep one of the rooms until 3:00 p.m. so we could store medicine in the refrigerator in the room. They also arranged a taxi for us to get back to the train station with all of our luggage. I would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay here when visiting Caen in the future.

This place is well situated, close to the centre and river and in a nice area. We were only staying for one night and didn't need anything overly complicated. However, we'd travelled from the UK without our charging adapters. With two young kids this could have been chaos. However, the gentleman at reception was very friendly and produced a bag of adapters for us to use. He was extremely helpful and approachable, which allowed us to solve our issue easily. Room was great and no complaints. Staff top notch. Thank you.

Stayed here for one night. Centrally located close to the Caen train station and restaurants. Apartment was clean and well appointed. Price for value was 10/10. Would stay here again.

The buffet breakfast was excellent! Large assortment of both continental and full hot breakfast items. We stored our luggage for the day before checking in and the staff was very accommodating and kind. The gentleman who was in charge of the breakfast was very attentive as well and seemed very interested that we had a great experience. He explained all the items And was a very nice person on our first day in France. The room was clean and much larger than I expected from the photos.

Communication problems with receptionist, big time! Especially at night time. Receptionist not present sometimes. I wouldn't advise to stay at this hotel if you can't speak French! We we're with the tour with room mates. Receptionist wouldn't allow you to have a second set of key. The fact that you have to leave key card inserted by the door OR ELSE NO POWER IN THE ROOM! They have to re-think that if the other room mate is gone, the other person cannot function without the lights on! I requested to have my own key at two different nights and two different night receptionist -NO LUCK! They're not very compassionate with their service at all. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you have kids. Room smells musty. Hallway feels creepy. Hallway lights are on motion sensors. So you wouldn't foresee a creepy guy standing there motionless, until you get close. Bed has roller and with one bump of knee moves it. No where to hold onto once your in the shower. DO NOT bother to lean on to the half glass door because it will move....and you'll end up on the floor! They dont provide coffee in rooms. One thing good about this hotel is their breakfast and locations —near bus stops, metro rail, stores and mall nearby.

Felt like living at home, nice location close to shops, restaurants and main station

Very cleanly, large apartment style rooms a close walk from the train station. Service was exceptional, we noted to the front desk we were getting poor wifi reception in our room and we were immediately moved to a new equivalent style room within minutes

We stayed here for 4 nights with 2 kids. We appreciate it's difficult to find decent size room for family of 4, but this hotel was fantastic. Twin beds in bedroom & pull out sofa beds for 2 in the sitting room which was quite comfy. Well equipped kitchen with fridge, kettle,microwave, dishwasher & crockery ( they supply washing up liquid & sponge but no tea /coffee). Decent size bathroom with heated radiator but we did find hot water was not hot enough, AC in both rooms, a safe and WiFi was adequate. Shower/shampoo were mini bottles provided per person which was enough for 2 days only. Great location near train & bus station(less than €2 pp from ferry port bus no.12).. would book again here, comfortable stay, decent hotel and good location.
