Avis

4.0 Erik West

It's interesting and a little horrifying. The damage is shocking, the presentation and care of the grounds lovely.

Interesting history in plain sight. The pedestrian gate was open and allowed one to walk around the bunker.

Tiny little Musium only €4 to get in some cool stuff to look at. Cash only so looses 1 star. Parking on site.

5.0 Kidd of the World

Wonderful piece of WWII and European history - well preserved almost as it was in 1940! Winter requires a pre-coordinated private tour, but is well worth the time and visit. Come prepared with questions and basic knowledge of the Maginot Line, but Karl was excellent with Deutsch, English or even French to explain and answer questions on how the French platoon would man and operate this Casemate in war. A must for anyone visiting the area or lives nearby - easy to find and parking right across the street.

The Casematte Esch is interesting to visit. It would have been nice, had we been able to enter and view the exhibit inside. Despite written ensurance, that it would be open today, it was closed and we could only tour the exterior. Still interesting, though.

Great place to visit if you are interested in military history. Nicely kept and arranged park around the bunker and interesting small museum inside. Cash only for the museum.

The bunker is actually pretty small, but it is a very nice stop on a Sunday (it is only Sundays open). For 3 euros a ticket you get a lot of info regarding the Maginot Line of defense and about the function of such a fortification. There are lots of weapons and munition and other war stuff inside and you can almost feel how intense the things were back then

Cash only -- they were nice enough to let my boyfriend and I both in even though we were short a few euros. Very little information in English, but still nice to look at all the artifacts and the grounds are well kept. Hours on the website seemed to be accurate!
