The restaurant is cozy and spotless, making it a perfect spot for meals and chats with friends. The food is excellent—fresh and tasty, yet reasonably priced. Even as someone who doesn’t usually crave seafood, I thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. The owner is warm and friendly, speaks English and French, promptly changes plates, and is attentive to every request. They even treated us to some complimentary dishes, which made the visit extra special. Located on Île de la Cité near the metro and just a short walk from Notre-Dame Cathedral, the restaurant also offers lovely scenery for a stroll after the meal. All in all, it was a wonderful dining experience—highly recommended to everyone!
Fantastic seafood restaurant in one of Paris’s most beautiful neighbourhoods. Everything is fresh and beautifully prepared - the sea urchin tarama alone is worth the trip! The staff are wonderfully warm and full of good energy. Highly, highly recommend.
The best oysters in Paris, an unforgettable experience! If you are looking for an authentic seafood experience in Paris, L'Huîtrerie Poget & De Witte is the perfect place. I ordered the Speciales Utah N0 oysters (the largest on the menu) and they were simply extraordinary: meaty, fresh, and with that subtle nutty flavor and creamy texture. Everything paired perfectly with a dry white wine, an excellent recommendation to complete the taste of the sea. What makes this place truly special, besides the food, are the owners. They are extraordinarily kind, welcoming, and you can see they put their soul into what they do. A small, intimate place, but with huge quality. I recommend it with all confidence!
What am amazing tiny place with the freshest, most beautiful oysters we’ve ever tasted, like sweet pearls from the Normandy coast! Make reservations because there are three tables and a bar. The plate of the day was for 2: 12 oysters, Madagascar shrimp, and octopus for €89. Such wonderful hosts who treated us like family. This is definitely THE place for raw sea delicacies ❤️
My daughter had an absolutely fantastic time here. We just stumbled on it by chance and I’m so glad we did. The seafood was so gorgeous and so fresh. The team that work there were so lovely too ! , you really must book though as it’s small and intimate. I’m defo going to return xx
The oysters were amazing. The salty ones were salty, briney and delicious, and the creamy ones were so smooth and succulent! We had some delicious white wine that was at the bottom end of the price point, but was deliciously fruity and yet not sweet. Besides the lovely charm of this beautiful restaurant that has been open since 1967, the service is what really set it apart. Even though there were no available tables, they opened one up for us and made us feel very special. They kept our bread bowl full, but our hearts overflowing.
Favorite dining experience in our 8 days between Rome and Paris. The service, music, simplicity yet intention.
If you want Oysters (huitres) and seafood you can't go wrong with this place. Great for people watching and having great food with amazing service.
