Great story and amazing architecture. Even though it's a little easy to be cynical about a rich person creating a charity hospice to buy their way into heaven. . . I kinda wish we had more of that today. My favorite part was the alterpiece (reproduction in the chapel, original on the way out). This is one of those cases where it really was good to do the tour. The tour really only touches lightly on the stuff you can see publicly and focuses on the things you can't get to without the tour - namely the upper floor (makes for some great pictures) and the wine cellar and old winery.

Hospices de Beaune felt almost magical and cleansing to me. It is not only a beautiful historic building with stunning architecture, but also a place where you can still feel the spirit of care, mercy and help. If you are in Beaune, it is absolutely worth visiting — for the atmosphere, the history and all the beautiful architecture.

Impressive.. never knew the full story..take the guided audiotour to get things explained.. people with the heart at the right place existed years ago as well.. again very impressive and worth the money... Think about the fact that the hospital has been in use till the mid 80s of last century

This was definitely the highlight of our visit in Beaune. The building used to be a hospital for poor people and is now very well restored. Entrance fee is Euro 12 - you can book online or pay at the spot. The roof and the building itself are very beautiful but they cannot be seen from outside. You need to purchase a ticket. I am glad we did.

An absolute must-see in Burgundy. While the building has been heavily restored, the craftsmanship of the iconic glazed tile roofs is stunning. The real highlight, however, is Rogier van der Weyden’s ‘The Last Judgement’ polyptych. It’s housed in a climate-controlled room at the end of the tour—don’t rush the earlier rooms or you might miss the detail! Pro tip: Use the motorized magnifying glass provided in the gallery to see the tiny details of the souls being weighed. Audio guide is included in the ticket and worth every minute

Amazing museum and unforgettable place to visit with so much history and anecdotes! Superb building, we Loved it!!! Audioguide is included, multiple languages available, skip the souvenirs shop though, quite overpriced compared to local souvenirs shop in Beaune 👌

Joined self-guided audio tour. It was good but a bit too long in each explanation. Small, but worth to visit.
