The Euskotren station is in a separate building to the main SNCF gare. It's the French leg of a Spanish service that's great for trips into San Sebastian. If the ticket office is open they only seem to accept cash, so for card payments you'll need to use one of the machines. Great value at 5.80 euros return (as of June 2025). Runs every 30 minutes and takes about 35 minutes. For the centre of San Sebastian alight at Amara.
Easy train station to navigate, close to hendaye train station ( short walk) and the bus from downtown Bayonne (#3)stops right out the front ( easy) , 30 minutes train ride to San Sebastián
Simple, efficient and cheap metro for getting from Hendaye (France) to San Sebastian Donestia (Spain).As of Feb 2025 the cost was 2.75 per person
Very convenient if you wanted to travel from Paris to San Sebastian. First get on TGV 8541 from Montparnasse to Hendaye and then this light rail will take you to San Sebastian.

Loved the ease of communicating but smoker's smoke right outside the door and make breathing difficult.
