An excellent restaurant within the hotel. We ordered a 3-course menu and it was perfect. Instead of dessert, we chose cheese. Friendly staff and beautiful ambiance. They also offer excellent wines. I recommend it!
Hotel is situated beside the lake and ten minutes drive from the city centre. The property is reasonable, indoor pool and the jacuzzi are the only highlights. In terms of the rooms, not as impressionable, beds are old, covers are red, floor carpeted and shower/toilet outdated. One point to highlight, it was clean.||The staff are quite friendly and helpful, despite our 2 hr stay in the hotel, the owner was understanding enough not to charge for the room considering we had a reserved a double room and instead were provided two single beds. Regardless, as mentioned the owner is respectable and understanding, we left for our own reasons and found a hotel closer to the city centre. Overall, if your looking for a quite getaway besides the lake and not too concerned with the rooms, then this is a good option. The restaurant from what understand is also good, specializing in French cuisine.
Good location, the pool and spa are enjoyable, the staff is decently nice However it seemed at times our decision to make reservations for breakfast and dinner was too nice of an opportunity for them to grab some cash to be polite about it They were rather unhelpful when we asked for restaurant recommandations and even requested us to advise them early on when we left the room so that they could quickly put it back up on the site
Slightly outside of the centre-ville, this rather old-school resort-hotel is pleasant enough, and was very quiet, one of our top values. There are only two floors, but wide staircase; no elevator. Our room was rather small but very comfortable, with all the usual amenities and a modern bathroom, much appreciated in Europe. Shower, no tub; good hot water. No A/C and in this summer of record-breaking heat, we used and were glad to have a room fan; this was adequate for us (during the two days of our stay temps went over 105F). There is a small pool where it is possible to swim a 4-6 stroke length w/o racing turns! Optional dinner is at 7:15 p.m. (reserve ahead as a courtesy). The kitchen staff is creative in trying to accommodate vegetarians but struggles a bit for vegans. The breakfast (7:15 a.m. at the earliest) is really royal, on the American scale, with anything you could desire.
The hotel is well placed , right near the lake and the river, with a small pool and park in the back . The room was small, a bit dark and with old decorations (a bit like in the 80s). The bed was confortable and fairly clean . One more thing i didnt like were the towels provided , were old , were not really white no more and one time ,one towel had holes. For a 3 star hotel i expect at least nice looking towels , especially when the price for the room is quite high .
This is a kind of old hotel in a ski resort area, so I didn't expect too much based on my experience over the years. The room was pretty clean I must say but the towels in the bathroom are a little too old and rough, needs a replacement. They even smell like sauna and that is certainly not what I would like to smell when I use a towel in the bathroom. ||The room was tiny and if I remember well we booked a double room with breakfast and we got a room with 2 single beds and no breakfast. I just couldn't bother to check it what went wrong and as the staff didn't speak English, it would have been hard to explain. So I already felt a little disappointed.||The wellness (sauna/steam/pool/Jacuzzi) is only open till 8 pm. This is handy if you came skiing as you are back at the hotel at latest 5 pm but as I had an other event going on, I was never back before 7.30. I booked this hotel to be able to enjoy the wellness and I have never made it there. Certainly left me disappointed.||As I already mentioned the room was clean and even when I got back to my room from the day before, it was all tidy and neat what I found a very nice feeling, just like walking in to a new room every day.||Location is good if you go skiing, easy reach from the ski resorts and also from shopping centers and restaurant.||I haven't tried the restaurant here, they are also only open after 7pm if I remember well.
Great hotel, very nicely finished and nice modern room. Spa was a lovely extra. 5 mins walk from plan d'eau activity area with nice walks round the lake. Half hour walk to town centre. Nice outside areas.
Due to medical issues, I had to shorten my holiday and organise a taxi to repatriate me back home. I inquired with the receptionist to organise a late check out so that I could lay down in my room for an extra 2 hours while waiting for the car to arrive. I was told harshly that I should vacate the room at noon sharp and rest next to the pool as it was not possible to keep my room longer, even by paying a supplement . As I had trouble breathing and needed to be plugged to my hydrogen device as long as possible before the car drive, I explained several time that I was really unwell and that I needed to lay down. After a lot of unpleasant and unnecessary comments mocking my health condition while I was resting on my bed with the breathing tube in my nose, I was transferred to a adjacent room by two persons from the reception. I was brought the card reader next to my bed so that I could pay the full price for an extra night. I still don’t understand how people working in hospitalities could behave in such a shocking way when someone is clearly unwell. The hotel being only half full, it would have been easy to find a good solution that worked for everyone. My taxi arrived as scheduled at 1.20pm and I left feeling bruised and extremely unsettled by the treatment I received. I wish I had been well enough to defend myself when harassed but unfortunately I was too tired to fight back.
