The current show about horses is a must see. A case with 5 paleolithic decorative horses is a jaw dropper. When is the last time you saw art over 17000 years old? The rest of the exhibit also good. A small walk from the tram. When you arrive at the gate, there is no place to sit if you arrive early. The staff is aware of this but nothing has been done. When it's almost 100 degrees for weeks at a time, this needs to be taken care of.
Very interesting expositions. I’ve never seen such a perspective over the past of the Occitanie region. I would be glad to come back in summer to see all outdoor activities which are available only in summer.
Great museum with enthusiastic friendly staff. There was a free tour which was excellent although only in French. I wandered about outside alyhough from other reviews I understand that is not allowed. Oops. The Etruscans Gauls Greeks and Romans all inhabited the town so something for everyone. Entry was free anfd I was presented with a book. The recreation of a Gaul village was good together with examples of brick making. Nice bars an restaurants nearby together with tram stop for easy access. I cycled the bike path from Montpellier.
Well laid out museum with car park. Very interesting and informative. Odd entrance but great once you find it!!
Great little museum with tons of info in both French & English. Only 4€ for adults, 2€ for kids. Audioguide runs a mere 1€
Lovely little museum - my only complaint was that you couldn’t wander about the excavated grounds without being in a prebooked group - which is a shame as it looked beautiful & fascinating from the window.
Excellent archeology museum. The lighting is beautiful. A joy to visit, learn, dream. The staff is very helpful.
This is a hidden gem. Fascinating exhibition about the Etruscan period. Amazing artifacts and entertaining exhibits. Audioguide in English. Learned many new facts about the area. The personnel was extraordinarily friendly and went out of their way to provide English information. Thank you
