Room way to small. Toilet and shower was in a closet, the door didn't shut completely due the lack off an door latch. The bed is very small for a single person. Staff really friendly. English is not a problem at all for them and a little chit chat is normall. Busstation is 1 min walk. The hotel is close to the highway, but you don't hear a thing.
Me and my friends were in Ibis Lyon est Bron. Mehdi (the receptionist) was so kind and helpful to give us directions about the place and with every question that we asked. Nearday was so lovely and gave us good advice about the food and the wine experience that we had. Thanks also the chef for the nice food. Qannien was so nice and friendly with us. Thanks Ibis Lyon Hotel for the hospitality.

The stay we had was nothing far from shocking. The rooms look nothing like they are depicted. The interior is very outdated and needs an overhaul urgently. If this would be the only complaint, it would have been fine, but I truly question how this hotel has received 3 stars. The cleanliness is far below standard. When I say this, I mean that the bedding had stains, dust troughtout the room with leftover nail clippings in the sink in our bathroom. But it gets worse: When we entered the room, we were met with a stinging smell, unsure of what it was. we checked the bathroom and were met with leftover faeces in the toilet. It had been sitting there for so long that even after flushing, a brown crust remained. Disgusting (Disclaimer for the images) When asking for an alternative room, we were told this is not an option. I truly was shocked. We got our sleeping bags from the car and slept in them on the bed as we did not dare to have our bare skin on the sheets. The next morning, we left as fast as possible. We moved forward with a refund request via booking.com, and after 2 weeks, the hotel has still not responded to our emails. Both from my side and booking.com. We shared proof of the lacklustre hygiene of the room without any input. It feels like they are actively ignoring the requests made. I am shocked and expect a response from their manager. This is unacceptable! My advice: Do not go here, read the other reviews. This is not a singular occurrence.
The rooms pictured on the site are far from what the state of the room is. We attempted to call the front office early in the morning due to yelling and screaming in our hallway at 2-3am. No answer. No additional locks on the doors for safety. We propped a chair up against the door. Dusty floors. Beds were so small and the topper kept coming off the bed. Overall not worth the loss of sleep for one night. If you have the option, go somewhere else.
Beware - this is the most run down hotel I’ve been in. There was hair in the shower upon our arrival, mouldy, rusty and just a plain untidy room. It’s one thing to not have been renovated for a long time, but the cleanliness standards are way below the average. Dust everywhere, no electrical sockets in a convenient place - had to charge my laptop by the door. Overall worst experience ever, would not book again and if thw whole city hadn’t been booked out because of a concert, we would change our hotel.
Definitely, after 2025 renovation, the hotel exceeds 3* expectations. The staff is kind and helpful, breakfest good enough. No issues with the cleaning.
