Le Cèdre in Nice offers a genuine taste of Lebanese cuisine, delivered with precision and authenticity. We chose the chef’s signature menu, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The chef himself has a rather reserved, almost cold demeanor, but in a way that reflects professionalism rather than distance — straight to the point, no unnecessary embellishments, fully focused on his craft. He is supported by younger family members who handle the service with the same level of professionalism. Their presence adds warmth to the experience, balancing the chef’s more stoic personality and creating a smooth, attentive service throughout the evening. The food brought an impressive variety of flavors, textures, and aromas. Every ingredient felt fresh, thoughtfully selected, and carefully prepared. If you appreciate Lebanese cuisine, this is a place where you simply can’t go wrong — the dishes speak for themselves. The restaurant is small, which adds to its charm, though it also means that a bit of luck 🍀 is needed to secure a particularly good table. We were fortunate to be seated at a lovely spot, discreet enough that our Cocker Spaniel could comfortably stay hidden and relaxed during the meal — a small detail that made the evening even more enjoyable. Overall, Le Cèdre is a solid choice for anyone seeking authentic Lebanese flavors in Nice, delivered with professionalism, family spirit, and culinary confidence

An amazing experience at Le Cèdre in Nice! This restaurant deserves not only to be in the Michelin Guide, but truly deserves a Michelin star. From the presentation, to the taste, to the warm accueil and service, everything was exceptional. Without a doubt, one of the best culinary experiences on the Côte d’Azur. As a Lebanese person, I can honestly say that this restaurant elevates Lebanese cuisine beautifully — innovative and creative while fully respecting its authenticity and soul. We chose the Chef Gourmet Menu paired with a wonderful Lebanese wine, and every dish was refined, flavorful, and memorable. It was also the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. Excellent value for money and an experience I highly recommend to anyone visiting Nice or the Côte d’Azur.

Earlier today, I left a review for a restaurant outside of Nice saying that it was the best cuisine I have had in my 2+ months of traveling Europe. I fear that I need to make an amendment to my previous review and say that Le Cèdar is now top of my list. The owner is extremely friendly, a very nice Lebanese man. The food is simply phenomenal and left no room in my stomach for a second guesses. Their homemade mint tea and their signature dessert were simply breathtaking. As a Lebanese, I give this my biggest seal of approval.

The best Lebanese food we’ve had - and I’m now a total convert to Lebanese wine! We had the chef special which was so much amazing food (and a course extra than we expected so we didn’t quite manage all the main - but was all delightful!). We read the great reviews and booked ahead, it was quiet when we entered but the owner said was fully booked and it filled up as we had our meal so would defo reco to book!

My friend and I have been in Nice for more than two days. We have dined many places, all of which have been less than superb—that is, until we came to Le Cèdre. I’m writing this review from the restaurant. Between the depth and breadth of flavors, the kindness of the staff, and the overwhelming comfort of this local treasure, our experience at Le Cèdre has given us hope that there are wonderfully inventive, creative, and downright delicious restaurants in Nice. We had the menu gourmand, and it was the perfect amount of food. Do not miss this gem if you are seeking incredible food in Nice!!!!!!

Absolutely delicious food that punches above its weight. I came here twice during my stay in the French Riviera and will return next time I’m in town. I ordered the vegetarian chef’s menu both times and some of the food was the same, some was different, and it was all incredible. Some of the best vegetarian food I’ve ever had :) And the desserts… soooo amazing. Definitely get a reservation if possible! For solo travelers - the site doesn’t have single person reservations, but I emailed and they kindly gave me one :)

My husband and I had dinner at Le Cedre while on our trip to Nice. We ordered the chef’s special menu and it was exquisite, we loved it!! The manager / owner / chef is very nice, very welcoming, and very friendly. The dinner experience was great and we will definitely be back!

My wife and I had the privilege of dining at Le Cedre recently while on a pilgrimage from Lourdes to Rome. After much walking (and a lot of traffic), we were resigned to dine somewhere near our hotel (Novotel Centre Vieux), and this restaurant was the perfect discovery. The Le Cedre motif embodies simple elegance. The space is compact but not cramped, and the artwork on the walls is courtesy of the host himself, Jean Haidar. Jean is a gracious Lebanese man who has earned every bit of the accolades granted for this establishment. He spent time with us and told us his story and that of Le Cedre, as if we were personal guests in his home. We ordered the Classic Menu, which consisted of both cold and hot samplers of items such as Baba Ganouch, Tabbouleh, Falafel, Sambousik, Chicken and Beef skewers, and Lebanese pastries. This was all accompanied by excellent Lebanese red wine (Ksara, Convent Reserve) which we had not previously known. This all made for a beautiful and comforting marriage on a chilly December evening. Returning to the hotel, we felt compelled to share the good news with other curious diners. Please look no further than Le Cedre, you will be forever grateful!
