It is extremely beautiful and very, very clean. Dogs are allowed only in certain hours during the peak season so kindly be careful. We visited in May, so all good, though very windy.
The beaches is well-kept, with plenty of cafés and restaurants offering fresh seafood and warm pastries—perfect for a post-walk treat. The atmosphere is calm and friendly, with both locals and visitors enjoying the sea breeze. It’s also a great spot to watch ferries come and go, adding a touch of charm and movement to the view.
Visited the beach in the evening towards the end of May. The temperature was around 17 degrees. Since it was the beginning of summer, we had the whole place to ourselves. A nice windswept stretch of beach to while away the time. Plenty of Airbnb places to stay nearby. If you have kids, there are plenty of play areas nearby for all ages. The pier is a nice place for fishing and to watch ferries plying to and fro from Dover, U.K which is the closest to continental Europe from Calais
What a lovely sandy beach! A must check out if you are passing through France for your travels or just looking for a day trip to the beach, this is well worth the ferry cross from the U.K. Lots of things to do for the children a lovely skate park for the kids , separate areas for children to play , the sand is so clean and surrounding area too
The beach is lovely. You can walk for hours here. There are some restaurants, make sure you make a reservation. We couldn't eat in some restaurants because the were full already. They didn't treat is very well at some places...even not when you try to speak French. There is a lot to do, you can play basketball, football, kids have a big playground and there is a skatepark. Very great!
Amazing beach. Soft sand, very nice feeling to walk on it barefooted. Loads of jellyfish. Amazing playground on the beach. Some cafes. You can rent bikes by the beach.
Great beach, great views, great ice cream, and restaurants. On clear days you can see the UK, Dover specifically. Ferry ships sail close by the beach. The beach is windy most days of the week. The huge dragon roams the roads here too.
Very lively, friendly people all around. A lot to do be it a playground or an enormous skatepark. There was also a self cleaning, free toilet, definitely a plus! The sunset was amazing! There's a lot of parking places as well. I really recommend visiting here if you're in the neighbourhood. :]
