This is one of those situations where you want to give a 7 out of 10 / 3.5 out of 5. 3 out of 5 seems too low but 4 out of 5 is too high. Stayed here 2 nights. Thought it was good not great. Pitches were alright. Pool is small and quickly inundated with children. Breakfast was good value. Some of the showers clean, some dirty. €5 to do a wash, which seemed a lot. Located on the very fringes of town, you need to cycle - 10 to 15 mins or a 25 to 30 min walk to the centre. It was ok for 2 nights but wouldn’t rush back and wouldn’t be the first on the list of recommendations - but not terrible. May be good if you had kids, we didn’t.

Arcachon was the second Huttopia site we visited amd there are lots of positive things about this place.|We stayed in one of the Trappeur tents with a bathroom. The tent was very well built and comfortable, at a quite high standard for a glamping site. We were even impressed with the small bathroom which was well laid out in its small space, and of much better quality than the first site we stayed at in Paris.||The cafe has a wonderful terrace overlooking the forest. It's a great spot for afternoon drinks. We were lucky that during our stay around mid-August there were a couple evenings with live bands playing, great atmosphere! But please be aware of the pizzas, they come with emmenthal cheese instead of mozzarella, this was not a welcome surprise!||Sadly, having cars driving through the site was a massive negative point for us. It didn't feel particularly dangerous but it damaged the natural atmosphere of wooden structures and big trees. There are about 7 parking areas in the site plus some accommodations have their own parking space. It'd be so much nicer if all cars were parked in one location, with trolleys provided for people to take their stuff to their accommodation. It would enhance the natural atmosphere hugely!||Another let down was having families with very young kids near us, which meant we got woken up early morning by screaming toddlers! Being parents ourselves, we totally understand screaming toddlers is almost inevitable. I wonder if places like Huttopia would do better if they were to place families with younger kids in the same area, and those with older kids in another. I'd say it's worth trying!||Whilst we wouldn't return to Huttopia Arcachon, we'd recommend it to families with younger kids, primary school age, because of the facilities and activities (most free). I guess the type of venue is more suited for younger children than ours, unless you come here with other families, that would also be a good option.

Chose this location as it was one of the only campsites open in the region at the beginning of March. Easy check in with very helpful reception staff. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the accommodation, warm, comfortable and a well thought out interior, with plenty of storage space. Small but functional kitchen area, and a good sized shower and bathroom. Large covered outside deck area, which was a bonus due to rain we experienced there! Location was great for us, a five min drive or twenty minute walk into Arcachon (a few steep hills to climb there and back) for lunch or dinner at some of the excellent restaurants there. Happily stay here again.

An Absolute Gem – Magical 4 Days at Huttopia Arcachon! We just returned from a 4-day stay at Huttopia Arcachon and honestly, we didn't want to leave. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was something special – lush pine trees, fresh air, and that perfect balance between nature and comfort. We stayed in a Roulotte bungalow, and it completely exceeded our expectations. It's charming, cozy, and beautifully designed – like sleeping in a little dream on wheels. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the space was surprisingly well thought out, and waking up surrounded by nature every morning felt like pure luxury. It has that rustic-chic vibe that makes you feel close to the outdoors without giving up any comfort. The campsite itself is impeccably maintained and the staff were warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. Everything was clean, well-organized, and you could feel the care and attention to detail throughout the whole place. The location is absolutely unbeatable – just a short ride from the stunning Arcachon Bay and the iconic Dune du Pilat. We spent our days cycling through the pine forest, visiting the oyster village of Gujan-Mestras, and watching sunsets over the bay. Absolutely breathtaking. The evenings back at the campsite were just as enjoyable – relaxing, peaceful, and with a wonderful community atmosphere without ever feeling crowded or noisy. If you're looking for a unique, nature-immersed escape on the Atlantic Coast, Huttopia Arcachon is the answer. The Roulotte bungalow is a must-try – trust us, you'll fall in love. We're already planning our return! 10/10 – Highly recommended! 🌲🛖

Huttopia Arcachon gave us a really helpful and friendly welcome. It has a lovely dog friendly bar area and terrace. Our pitch, although small and very shaded was nicely demarcated. Some pitches were close to the driveway with several drivers going past too quickly. Toilets/shower facilities are unisex. Showers were push button, lasted very little time between pushes and were quite hard to activate. The washing up water was hot in the main but the timer lighting left it dark when it was cloudier in the morning. The pool and poolside looked really nice but we didn't try it due to wet weather. The site is really well located to safely walk into Arcachon via the Mauresque park which is beautiful, but as a resort there were no dog friendly beaches in Arcachon. A drive to the nearby Dune du Pilat is highly recommended and dog friendly. It's breathtaking! Overall a great stay. We stayed third week of September 2025 and would happily return.

Excellent campsite for a few camping cars. Mostly chalets though, not really for camping with tents. Very attentive staff and 15/20 minute walk into town.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Huttopia and were extremely pleased with the service from start to finish. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available to answer questions or offer local tips, which made us feel genuinely welcome. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out – everything from the showers to the shared spaces felt comfortable and inviting. We also really appreciated the little touches, like fresh bread in the morning and the peaceful, natural setting that helped us fully relax and switch off. Our accommodation was exactly as described – spacious, well-equipped, and tucked away in nature without feeling too remote. It struck the perfect balance between comfort and a true camping experience. Overall, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Huttopia to anyone looking for a well-organized, relaxing, and enjoyable camping holiday. We’re already looking forward to our next visit

Spacious camping with a good vibe, plenty of activity, but also quiet at night. Nice pool area with sufficient number of sun chairs. Restaurant only offers pizza, but those are very tasteful. And the bread service is great addition, at reasonable prices. We stayed in an Arizona tent, which is a nice combination between a mobile home and a tent. Plenty of space and shade made our stay there very comfortable. Camping is located close to villages and beaches of Arcachon, but (also due to hills) too far to comfortably walk, especially with younger kids.
