Avis
My husband and I stayed at this B&B for three nights during one of the busiest weeks in August (we reserved well in advance). All pretty much positive: beautiful countryside location with roaming cows and sheep just outside of S.Florent center (15min drive) and near hilltop town of Oletta (5 min). Nice pool with comfortable lounge chairs, umbrellas and trees for shade, perfect for relaxing before or after a day at the beach. Note there was a jacuzzi, but we never saw it on nor working. Breakfast consisted of coffee/tea, fresh plain or chocolate croissants, varieties of jams, yogurts, cereals and juice. The rooms are very well decorated, simple and clean. The only negative comments we would make about our stay at Casa di l'Amanduli was that our room n.5 faced the parking lot and had no view of the pool nor the land (we would recommend rooms 3 or 4 for poolside view) and that the room was very hot at night and uncomfortable for sleeping. We generally dislike air-conditioning, but it would have been appreciated in the middle of August since the room was small and we had to keep the door closed for privacy. There was one small window in the bathroom, which we had to cover in order to keep out the sun in the early morning. The constant noises of the farm animals could wake you up, but we enjoyed this aspect of staying in the countryside. Note as well that there is no mini-bar in the room, however there are all types of cold beverages available in the breakfast area for sale. Compared to corsican standards, it is a nice boutique-type B&B, clean and quiet, but inconvenient that they did not accept credit cards as we had discovered when checking out.
Cosy, peaceful and close to St Florent. Very good breakfast. Family-friendly.
This is a great choice of somewhere to stay near St Florent if you want a bit of peace and quiet away from the buzz of the main town.||||The rooms are well decorated and have a nice feel to them. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom and shower room which is more of a wet room than a shower room. It is all very clean and tidy and get cleaned every morning for you whilst you are at breakfast. We had walked in with muddy shoes on once, but by the time we came back from breakfast it had all been cleaned away and was as good as when we first arrived at the room.||||Our room, which was room 2, did not overlook the pool but we didn’t find this a problem. If we wanted to look that way you could walk round to the pool and use the tables and chairs there. We did have air conditioning in the room which was useful as it does get warm there.||||The pool here is great and as there are only a few rooms, 4 or 5, doesn’t feel too busy. We had the pool to ourselves although there were 2 other couples sitting and reading in the sun.||It is an average garden sized pool, so maybe only 10-15m long, but superb for having a dunk and a splash around in. There were also balls and toys available if you wanted.||As other people have commented there is a Jacuzzi but I didn’t see this working.||||There is a boule area here and we got invited to join some French people playing here which was good fun. I think you can use the boules that are there so you dont need to bring your own.||||Breakfast is a self service affair in the big garden room. You can turn up whenever you like and help yourself to the bread, cereals and fruit which is on offer. You will have to boil the kettle to make your own hot drink – but this isn’t too much hassle!||||Another nice touch was that when we went out one day and a rain shower appeared, they brought our shoes and clothes under the covers for us so that they wouldnt get soaked.||||You will here lots of Cicadas from the room and a few other animals but it certainl
We loved our two night stay at Casa Di l'Amanduli in our beautiful room nr.3 with lovely views of the beautiful garden and the surroundings. Couldn't have wished for a better beginning of our holiday exploring the westcoast of Corsica. After arriving at 7.00 o'clock in the morning at Bastia we decided to first drive around Cap Corse, a spectaculair start! After arrival in St.Florent we made a quick phonecall to the B&B since our navigation did not recognize the adress. After the very good instructions given to us by the very friendly owner we drove straight to the B&B and were immediately amazed by the beautiful building, gardens, swimming pool and the overal relaxing look of the place. We enjoyed every minute of our 2 1/2 days at the B&B, and the very good breakfast (we only missed some ham or cheese but after asking for some cheese it was immediately given to us, and the next morning we didn't have to ask, so very good service) and at the lovely town of St.Florent and its surroundings. It's just a very romantique place and we can certainly recommand it!
