We rented Liliane’s apartment at 44 blvd Napoleon III, Immeuvle Carina 4, Nice, Provence-Alpes, France for a 5.5-week stay during February and March 2023. Alas, after having spent 2 days in her apartment, we found both the location of the apartment and the apartment itself to be so unsatisfactory that we got in touch with AirBnB who agreed to release us from our contract. Here under, are our comments and complaints about the issues with Liliane’s description of her apartment, her misleading description of the location and availability of parking. The description of location was misleading, and totally inappropriate for active seniors. Although described as a 15-minute walk to the Promenade des Anglais, it was a 3KM-drive down a very steep hill; the garage space too small to accommodate our leased vehicle and street parking was not readily available; the kitchen cooktop only had 2 of 4 burners working and wall directly behind was filled with congealed fat; dirty cutlery and utensils. Shower stall not cleaned, hair on walls, shower head not working, vanity filled with other people's toiletries. Bedding appears to not been washed as hair or fur attached were revealed on 2 pillow cases. Insect bites that have yet to heal after 2 weeks. The headboard of one bed separating from side panels. General maintenance in the apartment itself was lacking. We have pictures to support all of the above statements.

Although described as a 15-minute walk to the Promenade des Anglais, it was a 3KM-drive down a very steep hill; the garage space was too small to accommodate any vehicle larger than a Smart Car or Fiat 500 and street parking was not readily available; the kitchen cooktop only had 2 of 4 burners working and the wall directly behind was filled with congealed fat; and drawers and cupboards contained dirty cutlery and utensils. The shower stall was not cleaned, hair was on the walls, the shower head sprayed water at the wall, not onto a person, & the vanity was filled with other people's toiletries. Bedding appears to not have been washed as hair or fur was attached on 2 pillow cases. Insect bites that occurred on the 1st night have yet to heal after 2 weeks. The headboard of one bed was separating from its side panels. General maintenance in the apartment itself was lacking. We have pictures to support all of the above statements.
