What a lovey surprise. I did not expect anything special before coming here knowing the hotels from previous stays in other locations. But again it’s all about the people! From reception to the lady atbreakfast very nice and welcoming.

The ONLY positives about this hotel were the convenient location and the young staff who were rather sweet if maybe inexperienced. Sadly, in other respects this is a hotel to avoid. The motel-style room block is tired and in dire need of refurbishment if not demolition. Our room did not look like some of the pictures on the internet - it was poorly cleaned (dust and bits on floor, tea/coffee tray still had rubbish on it) yet the cleaner had the time to write and put up a post it note on the bathroom mirror wishing us a nice stay 🤷‍♀️. The bathroom was grim - bathroom shelf and towel rack both coming away from the wall; shower screen and tiles had long standing blackening; floor tiles had a dried on cement patch. The bed was too big for the room which meant one of us had to squeeze against the wall and duck under the wall- mounted TV to get in and out of bed. Cooling/heating system wasn’t working properly so room felt cold and damp on arrival and didn’t warm up even when we turned up the thermostat. The reception/restaurant is housed in a separate pleasant enough building where evening meals and breakfast are served. The evening menu is limited, on the expensive side and involves a confusing tariff arrangement if you want to add a starter or pudding to main course. The standard of the food does not justify the price. Breakfast is expensive, self-service and only available until 9am on a weekday. When we arrived at 8.20 key items on the buffet were depleted and we had to ask for replenishment. The only cooked items on the menu were a self service boiled egg or toast. Our bill came to 165 euros for one night with dinner and breakfast - frankly we felt ripped off. Will not be stopping here on our way home.

Came here for supper, from the B&B Hotel next door. ||It is one of the better-run Campanile restaurants, although, like others, it seems a bit short-staffed. The staff who are there work very hard, and also cover the hotel reception. They stayed remarkably pleasant and cheerful under pressure.||The food was good, based as always around a range of set menus and dishes of the day. The buffet d’entrées is not what it was, back in the day, but was quite adequate. Dishes of the day are substantial. The buffet des desserts was very good.||Recommended.

Family of 4 (2 young children) friendly reception, clean, small dining area but we had no problem being seated. Various menu options all buffet style. Either you chose just entrées (salads, rice, cheese, hams) & /or main, this evening was 3 different pastas, carbonara, pesto or bolognaise, and a dessert, again buffet style, brownie, rice pudding, fruits, small pastries. We opted for just entrees which was ample as could go back as often as we wanted. Kids had a kids menu, burger and chips, drink and dessert included, oh and a kiddie bag of activities. Glass of wine and a small beer, 40€. Big TV showing the Olympics.

Really friendly helpful staff, they put up with hanging around all day as we had a motorcycle break down. Rooms were comfortable and clean , good value for the money, food was good and so was the beer. Thanks for being so kind

Lovely hotel room with everything we needed. Genevieve was lovely and swapped us to a double room as they had availability. 20 minute walk to the tram stop to get into central Talence or Bordeaux, easy peasy. Thanks for the great stay!

Motel-style rooms with excellent service. The hotel we were staying at just before this one was brand new, but we had to change rooms 3 times due to technical or cleanliness issues. This one has basic rooms that are not new, but they're kept very clean, and everything works great -- powerful heating, nice bathtub with great water pressure, etc. Room is functional. As you'd expect from the Campanile brand, great attention is given to the food. They'll keep a fully stocked breakfast buffet even if it's just you there and minutes before the end. Breakfast has great variety: both crepes and pancakes, hot chocolate a decaf... We were surprised that a small hotel can offer so much. Additionally, great attention was given to the hygiene in the restaurant area -- tables and chairs being sanitised after each guest leaves. Location-wise, it's actually great wit a car: just off the motorways, and few minutes from the tram where you cark for free and get your whole group to the city centre and back for few euros (look up the "parc relais" deal... I parked at Arts et Métiers). Major malls are 10 mn away, and before you leave town you can buy cannelés at "la toque cuivrée" nearby. Cinemas and late night eateries also minutes away by car. The area is very quiet and nothing disturbed our sleep in the 3 nights we stayed there. Staff was super helpful and always cheerful (all of them)... If you've travel around France a little bit, you know it doesn't happen that often! Much recommended for road trips with friend or on business.

We like the Campanile chain. The rooms are basic but very clean with tea/coffee facilities and they are fine with our dogs staying in the room too. I think the breakfast is overpriced for what it is but it is fresh and the croissant are really good.
