For the first week of our Province holiday we wanted to be close enough to the coastal hotspots to be able to reach them without too long a drive, but at the same time be away from the big summer crowds. And then we found Let Gites du Lac. From the moment I first found this place on Tripadvisor I knew it was perfect for us, but my even my high expectations were more than met when we got there.||The setting is obviously a big drawcard and the house has been built to take advantage of it's position overlooking the lake. From the bedroom windows as well as from the veranda, one has an amazing view over the trees towards the Lac de St. Cassien. It is only a short walk (5 minutes) to the lake, although to the boat house and jetty is a bit further. ||The house itself is very tastefully decorated and the rooms, while not huge, are comfortable and very attractively designed and have everything you need. The kitchen has pretty much everything necessary for self catering and although there is a decent sized table for eating at, we generally decided to eat out on the veranda. ||Each morning starts with a lovely french breakfast on the veranda served by our friendly host with freshly baked breads, croissants, jams and cheeses and a good cup of coffee. Although we didn't otherwise have that much to with our hosts, they have really created an amazing, relaxed atmosphere here which makes visitors feel welcome and really on holiday.||We both thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good base for exploring this region of south west France.

Very nice place in the middle of the nature, close to the the lake. Nice bed and good French breakfast. Very good service.

Excellent stay : cosy place, great breakfast, warm welcome!||Stayed for 3 nights with extended family. Possibility to rent by week or per nights. Rented few nicely decorated rooms - Mediterranean style - with large commun balcony overlooking the lake and kitchen. The breakfast was great - croissant, pain au chocolat, all kind of brioche... Owner is helpful and very friendly. Great location 5 min from the lake + 10 min from lovely villages to visit.||We recommend the place!

We were there in 2012 in November - very positively surprised - as we expected nice place but as much as it was. Very friendly owners and a nice dog :) All rooms are lake view - you wake up in the morning and you see it. Breakfast is nice in a nice kitchen.||We recommend a lot!!!

Amazing view of the lac st-cassien, close to Cannes, quiet, beautiful shower, friendly owner. Felt like home in Sweden. Perfect for few nights with children away from the big city but close to highway to get to airport next morning. Thank you for letting us use your own computer for booking our flight check in. Perfect place for a week or 2 fishing at lac Saint Cassien

Idéalement situé a quelques minutes de Montauroux en voiture et du lac de St cassien a pieds en quelques minutes. Très belle restauration des bâtiments, chambre très stylée et confortable ! Une superbe vue et un réveil majestueux ! Un petit dej comme j'aime avec plein de bonnes choses ! Je note pour mon prochain long déplacement afin d'éviter de perdre entre 90 et 100 mn pour rentrer sur Antibes pour revenir le lendemain sur site chez un client. Ps : le réseau Orange passe pas fort mais c'est pas grave ça aide a déconnecter l'esprit !
