It’s so nice to have this elevator available for people who aren’t as mobile or physically fit to make the trek up the stairs! It’s beautiful on top. Awesome views. We really enjoyed the trip.

Very cool stairway up here. LOTS OF STAIRS TO GET TO THE TOP. BUT WHAT A COOL VIEW OF THE CITY, ONCE YOU'RE UP HERE, WHEN WE GOT UP THERE, THE TOP WAS CLOSED FOR THE EVENING, BUT EVEN ON THE STAIRWAY, YOU CAN GET SOME PRETTY GOOD SHOTS OF THE CITY, WE CAUGHT IT RIGHT AT SUNDOWN ON A CLOUDY DAY THAT I RECOMMEND GOING ABOVE THE I LOVE. NISSAN TO THE TOP OF THIS CHATEAU.

Yes, it is difficult to walk up the steep steps, but in addition to the great views from the top, there are also some cute spots along the stairs!

I took the Ascenseur du Château up to the top entrance, and it’s definitely the easiest way to reach the panoramic views over Nice. Once you're up there, the atmosphere changes—much calmer, with fresh air and a great sense of space above the city. It’s a nice break from the crowds below, and the views are absolutely worth it.

Great views of the coast with a public park to relax. Theres a cafe near the top if you want a drink/snack. The walk to the top wasnt too steep or excessive with plenty of places to have a break so is suitable for all ages

If you want to go to the top of the château but you are not fit enough to climb all the way up there, then come to take this lift, and it is totally free of charge! Note that it runs between 10 am to 17 pm or so, plan your trip well, come early so that you can be the first to use the lift.

On visiting Nice with some friends from our tour group, we decided to use this wonderful elevator to get to the park overlooking the city rather than make the climb to the top. It was a godsend!

A little smelly but WAY BETTER than climbing all the stairs to get to the top. Plus we got lucky and there wasn't even a queue. Open from 10 to 17:45.
