We had an extremely warm welcome arriving the distillery. Our guide, Anelia showed us around proudly, explaining their profession with expertise. She happily answered all our questions and was curious about our opinion during the tasting ready to comment our thoughts and feelings. We learned a lot about French Caribbean rhums. Highly recommended place to visit!

It was a wonderful experience to see the aging process of the rum. The young tourguide was very friendly and explained in detail what makes the rum special. The rum tasting was also delicious.

I had an absolute wonderful time on the tour at Karukera. The team is very knowledgeable, and they both speak very good English, so don't hesitate to book a tour even if you don't speak French. The owner, Gregoire even came by to talk about his different rhums. A truly passionate man! The rhums are excellent as well, and the prices in the shop are better than at both the super market and the airport, so make sure you buy all your favorites before you leave.

Very amazing team. Gave a tour even their English is not perfect, but still gave all the information needed. I think there is no tour schedule, I was just lucky to arrive at a time other people reserved a tour. They will show you the production facilities followed by a tasting.

Karukara has a really nice shop with rums from their Karukara line and also from Longueteau. It appears that the sugarcane they use is from the same fields as Longueteau as well. The shop manager was very friendly and even though we did not have an appointment, he let us taste several of the items we were interested in. They had a lot of nice gift options as well. Definitely recommend coming here if you are shopping for good rum.

I went here after the bad experience i had with Longueteau. I wish i checked the pictures before. That way i could have bought the Longueteau from here since they are selling it as well. I knew exactly what to get, took the bottle and went to pay for it. We were alone in the shop, so instead of just taking our money, the guy there offered us a tasting of everything he had there. He was kind and we actually talked for a bit. What a difference in attitude. I highly recommend this place and i am sure the tour is also really good, seeing their passion about their job
