An Absolute Masterpiece on the Water! Visiting Château de Chenonceau in mid-June was a highlight of our trip to the Loire Valley. From the moment you arrive, the experience is breathtaking. Walking down the grand, majestic tree-lined avenue creates an unforgettable first impression. The architecture is absolutely stunning. Seeing the famous gallery spanning elegantly across the River Cher is purely magical. The vibrant pink roses blooming along the stone walls made for perfect photo backdrops, especially for a memorable selfie by the water. What Made Our Visit Special: • The Magnificent Gardens: The immense, manicured formal gardens offer beautiful geometric layouts and a spectacular view of the historic Marques Tower standing proudly alongside the main castle. • Immersive Interiors: Inside, the chateau feels incredibly well-preserved and full of life. The grand bedrooms feature gorgeous historic tapestries and royal canopy beds. A standout highlight was the rustic, vaulted kitchen area, which was beautifully staged with baskets of fresh vegetables and impressive floral arrangements. • Serene River Views: Looking out over the water from the estate grounds was incredibly peaceful. This estate is a flawless blend of rich history, brilliant architecture, and stunning landscape design. It is an absolute must-visit for anyone traveling through France!

Loved the inside of Château de Chenonceau! We really appreciated that they kept all the rooms decorated—the kitchen area especially was beautifully set up. The fresh flowers throughout the château added such a nice touch. The gardens aren't as meticulous as some other châteaux, but the water surrounding the castle made everything look beautiful. Recommend coming early since it was packed with people.

A fantastic experience at a beautiful chateau with pristine gardens. Everything about this place is quality. Every member of staff we encountered was polite, friendly, helpful and professional. The delightful gardens and grounds were pristine, whilst the chateau itself is beautifully presented. A feature I have not seen mention before is the quality of the cafe. The food is delicious and the options widespread, whilst the pricing is very reasonable. In addition there were self serve dispensers at the entrance, a snack truck with seating in the gardens and a restaurant in the orangerie which provide a complete range of options. I thoroughly recommend seeing this beautiful treasure and insight into France’s history.

Very interesting and nice place to visit not far from Tours. The Chateau was owned by Catherine de Medici. Very good audio tour and gorgeous gardens to walk through. We spent about 2 hours here and could have spent a couple more walking the grounds.

I visited Château de Chenonceau in the afternoon, which I found to be the perfect time. The light over the river and gardens was beautiful, and the atmosphere felt calm but still lively. The château itself is stunning, especially the way it stretches across the river, it’s very unique compared to other castles in the Loire Valley. The rooms are well preserved and give a great sense of history. There is also a wine shop where you can buy local wines. It’s a nice touch after the visit.

My visit to the Château de Chenonceau was exceptional and memorable. The elegance of the castle and its unique architecture spanning the River Cher. It is not just a historical monument, but a place that feels alive with history, refinement, and beauty. Iwould highly recommend visiting Château de Chenonceau to anyone who appreciates culture, history, and timeless beauty. It is undoubtedly one of the most graceful and inspiring places in France.

The best way for me to learn about history is to visit historical sites. This beautifully maintained property was a real treat to see a view of the past from the 1600's forward. The stories told through pictures, furnishings, and tapestries are in incredibly good condition for being so old. People of all ages will find this Cháteau enjoyable to visit whether it's for the gardens, the restaurants, or the interior rooms of the cháteau.

One of the nicest castles on the Loire Valey. Audioguide is a must if you want to properly understand its history and charm. Free on premise parking is a really nice gesture. Also, eating proper food on premises is a big plus ( orher castles tend to offer junk food while this has a realt cafeteria).
