4.0 Jiwon Kokomong Kim

This place is busy both at lunch and dinner, so reservations are a must. They offer 2-course or 3-course meals at reasonable prices with excellent flavors. Every dish in the 3-course menu—from the starter to the main and dessert—was delicious without exception. However, perhaps due to the busy atmosphere, the staff can feel a bit inattentive.

1.0 Guillaume Vincent

Vraiment deçu et presque insulté: Very disappointing experience at A Moro in Marseille on the evening of the 21st. We were a large group, and the service was extremely poor from start to finish. Over 5 main dishes were completely forgotten. We followed up multiple times, only to be met with rude and dismissive behavior from one of the male waiters. At one point, while barely paying attention and walking away mid-conversation, he told one of the younger guests at our table that “all the ordered dishes were served.” We then had to explain to him that five mains were still missing. About 15 minutes later, he came back with a visibly frustrated and aggressive attitude, saying the dishes would “eventually come.” After waiting well over an hour and a half hungry, another guest politely asked when the food would arrive, and the same waiter replied in an aggressive tone: “It will come when it will be ready,” before dismissing the question entirely. What made the experience even worse was the feeling that we were treated differently because we were young and foreigners. It may not have been intentional, but the dismissive attitude and lack of basic courtesy throughout the evening certainly gave that impression. The overall feeling was that once payment was secured, the staff no longer cared about customer experience or basic respect. Instead of trying to resolve the situation, we were made to feel unwanted and ignored. Sadly, this was one of the worst restaurant service experiences we’ve had in Marseille. Vraiment dommage de boucler un si bon voyage ainsi et donner si peu de consideration à ses clients. I’ll make sure to not bring my people and employees around there in the future.

Excellent food and a very cool restaurant. The service, however, was… let’s say “beautifully inconsistent.” One waiter was absolutely lovely, while the waitress gave full the polite-but-not-really attitude 🙃 But the food was really good!

Amazing food, do book to avoid disappointment. Great price set lunch, loved the veal and wondering how we can recreate the courgettes at home. The team squeezed us in, they were so warm and funny. The wine list is very exciting, lots of bottles to choose from and a good offering by the glass. Wish we could eat it all again!

The most expensive meal in Marseille we had for 3 starters and 2 mains - poor service, small portions - we left hungry and disappointed. If you want affordable and tasty food there are many other options.
