We were resident in a village nearby and ate regularly at the Auberge. No longer resident, my now grown up son and I returned to the area and stayed / ate there. It was a lovely reminiscence for both my son and I. The owners were very friendly and accommodating.

Arrived about 18.00hrs after a long day driving - the only car in the car park.... yes it is open, and yes we can eat there this evening.||||A simple Hotel *** Restaurant as you go down the hill from the south - just outside Cancon on the main road - easy to get in but do be careful if you are leaving northward.. the Glycines (Wisteria) were still in flower - have been all the summer.||||Rooms are reasonable with en-suite bathroom - some evidence of upgrade work, so not to bad. Kept he windows shut as there is some road noise - Lorries going up hill - but that became quiet later.||||Restaurant is not bad and the food good - I like my Steak 'Blue', and was, pleased to say that it nearly 'moooood' - the chef cuts his own joints/steaks from a side of beef - not bad..

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. The hotel is very central and has a gorgeous courtyard area where we ate breakfast. The staff were very helpful too. Our room was nice and clean and we were very relieved for the air conditioning! Overall a wonderful stay!

Lovely staff who were very friendly and helpful. A wonderful location. |Clean, traditional style room with a comfy bed. The restaurant has a pretty terrace for meals.|Only small downside was the bathroom was a bit tired.

This was a single night stopover, nevertheless, after a stressful day on the autoroute it's important that one feels instantly relaxed, well fed and gets a good night's sleep before the next gruelling stage of the journey.||Our room was fine. I was looking forward to a hot bath but there was no bath plug. Great efforts were made by the staff to find me one, which they did.||We had a snooze, then a cup of tea by the pool. It was a shame that it was unseasonably chilly, so we didn't feel like going in for a dip. However it was extremely pleasant to sit around with a drink, and could have been in a chi chi boutique hotel, with nice loungers surrounded by lush vegetation.||We came down to dinner refreshed and in a cloud of nice smelling products (our own). We took the recommendation of a glass of Floc for an aperitif and sat down for dinner in a tastefully decorated dining room. (I mention this as it's relatively unusual!) I would imagine it's lovely to sit outside to eat on a balmy evening.||Dinner was delicious - foie gras, smoked duck, confit - regional produce which was well cooked and carefully presented. ||After a digestif on the terrace we tottered up to bed. Unfortunately, there was a young family nearby with a screaming baby. We've all been there and I know it's hard, but after an hour we had to ring reception with the idea that we might move rooms as it was impossible to sleep. The manager could hear the disturbance through the phone and instantly ran up the stairs, knocked on the family's door and, I don't know how or why, but the problem just went away. We were VERY impressed and proceeded to get a good night's sleep. He could have just given the ubiquitous shrug and let us get on with it!||I would highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant.

I stayed here for 2 nights when attending a wedding nearby. Very relaxed atmosphere and the owners really welcomed us. ||||The pool area is lovely surrounded in Bamboo hedges. The bedrooms are clean and tidy and the wine is great!

Everything fun. We stay just one night but it was enough to definite booking perfect. A very special location for staying some days with family. Dinner was good and breakfast complete. People was affable.

The hotel was nice located and very cosy. Staff very kind and rooms quite clean.|Unfortunately early in the morning the rubbish collection and deliveries are very noisy. |The room bathroom is a bit old and maybe shower needs to be replaced.
