This was my second trip to the Royal Limogue factory. I was looking for more of the pieces of the pattern I bought previously and did come away with an additional place setting. I do enjoy visiting the factory as my early art course work included ceramics. Unfortunately I was told the dates of the upcoming annual sale in November but misplaced/lost the paper it was written on. Is it possible to get this info as I want to be sure to book a trip to revisit during the one day sale. Thank you.

The amount of merchandise here is greater than two others we visited. The prices for daily use China were closer to our budget. A vast amount of China was at reduced prices and surprisingly, they could make additional pieces to complete the sets we needed. They offer shipping at reasonable rates. Marie Pierre, the store attendant was courteous, helpful and very patient. We were able to get 18 complete services, serving trays, bowls for the budget we had for 12. If in Limoges, do not miss visiting.

We shopped on a Saturday—this was the only warehouse we could go on Saturday. I bought only what I could carry, and was shocked by how inexpensive it was. I regret not having asked about shipping, but I may have purchased an entire set! Cashier was helpful and pleasant, and wrapped my dessert plates, tea cups and sauces and 3 cream pitchers in paper and bubble wrap for travel. I also received necessary paperwork for tax reimbursement. I highly suggest going; the prices on the website are much higher than what you spend in person.

Avoid avoid avoid!!! First visit to Limoges famous for its porcelains, we decided to visit this place What a mistake we made! Manager was so rude you have to experienced it to believe it!!! All the porcelains are on cheap tables display. Staff are useless and rude, you have been warned....

A brief re-visit of the city of Limoges allowed for a visit to the small museum surrounding the Four des Casseaux. Center piece is the kiln build in 1902 for the G.D.A., later becoming the Royal Limoges which still runs the adjacent factory. Classified historical monument since 1987 it is the last surviving example of a technology that flourished in the city since 1878 and made 'Limoges porcelain' its 'white gold'. The 'reverse flame' kiln measures 7.5 meters across and is almost 20 meters high. Its location along the Vienne river allowed for a wood supply to float down from the central plateau, turned to charcoal before use. Consuming 16 tonnes per firing the oven has two stories for a first firing at 900º C in the globe on top, and a second firing at 1400ºC at the bottom. The building by itself is interesting, added interest are the exhibits that were brought together by 'l'Association Espace Procelain' (who manage the site). My first time to encounter a 'chromolithograph', a printing press using stone slabs. Spooky porcelain dolls, medical equipment, tokens and electricity stuff. Turns out the French electricity accessory maker 'Le Grand' started out producing tea ware. And outside 'the biggest porcelain piece ever produced in Limoges', an over 5 meters long (2 tonnes) high tension isolator. A morning well spend on a rainy day in Limoges.

Very good quality porcelain from one of the best porcelain manufacturers in Limoges. You can also visit the local museum to learn more about the fabrication process.
