This is a charming guest house which is in a convenient location for visiting the Luberon and Provence regions. Isabelle is a wonderful host, providing excellent facilities, meals, and assistance with travel plans and personal needs.
Absolutely wonderful B&B run by the most gracious and attentive host Isabella. Super location too, so can highly recommend.
We stayed at Isabel place for 5 nights with 2 young kids and a tinny baby. The place is magical, authentic and beautiful. We booked the family room: two rooms, one with a double bed and the second with two single beds and a big bathroom. Isabel thought about everything: a baby crib, a baby bath (with soft towers for a baby) and a diaper station, stuffed animals and toys for the kids, linen, lots of pampering towels and toiletries. |But the highlight was Isabel hospitality!! First she is an amazing chef! Every night she cooked an amazing local cuisine (don’t miss the homemade Aioli) with homemade aperitif and djestiff and wonderful local wine. Second she was so patient and flexible with the kids, every day she cooked a different kid’s menu, spoke and played with them and always with a smile (even when they made noise or ran around). If you are visiting Provence don’t miss this spot! You won’t regret it!!
Isabelle was the best caretaker I’ve ever experienced. She prepared delicious homemade food for us, and also cared for us whenever needed. She gave us excellent suggestions on different places to visit and had a map for us. The hotel itself was fabulous and spacious. On top of that, there was a nice courtyard in the villa that had a ping-pong table and boules court. There was also a swimming pool included. Overall, our stay at Villa Lumières was comfortable and the service was top-notch.
Generally we assess our stay at Villa Lumières positively. The room was very comfortable, with a big balcony and really nice bathroom, good starting point to visit the area. Additionally the hotel is quite small, so most of the time we had a pool just for ourselves. We really appreciated breakfast - everything was very fresh, homemade marmalade and yoghurt were delicious. It's worth at least one time to try dinner prepared by the host, all dishes were really nice and the price for it is very good, we felt like eating at true french house : ) However, there were some things that we didn't like. The breakfasts even though very tasty were quite monotonous, 3 days in the row with marmalade can be a bit too much : ) Additionally, in the room there was a book where many different rules were listed, one of them was that eating in the room is forbidden, we found it a bit ridiculous and stressful at the end. Moreover, the hotel is situated at the crossroad of two relatively big roads, the noise from the cars was noticeable.
We enjoyed a comfortable stay at the Villa Lumieres. Isabelle provided us top rate hospitality and prepared a delicious dinner for us after our day of walking between Bonnieux and Goult. She graciously looked after our every need during our 2 night stay. I would highly recommend this property for your stay in this beautiful part of Provence.
From the moment we arrived at Villa Lumières we were made to feel very welcome by the owners, Isabelle and Lalou. The rooms were clean, a good size and very comfortable. Isabelle is an excellent cook and we enjoyed a delicious meal, good wine and a great evening at their table. Isabelle and Lalou – you made our stay with you a memorable part of our time in the Luberon – merci beaucoup!
Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable with a private bathroom. Typical french breakfast, with delicious croissant. Unfortunately we stayed here only one night, but we absolutely recommend the place, good starting point to visit the villages around.
