SCI SPUNTA DI MARE

Happy to find a place in Ajaccio for one night as we moved from the South to the West on our trip through Corsica. A key element in choosing Spunta Di Mare was having an easy parking space. The room was clean and had a lovely balcony with a view over the city. Breakfast buffet was an added benefit! Note that it is 3.5KM from the historic center.

Great modest hotel with free parking and indoor pool with great view (great for bad weather, pool has no restroom or changing facilities). Good breakfast. Magnific terrace (can be windy) where u can have a drink (order from reception bar and take with lift). Luggage storage. About 40 min flat walk to center, some of way on sidewalks and some on dedicated paths. Safe enough in evening too. Small nice unattended beach 10 min walk.

Excellent hotel in Ajaccio. We especially loved the lovely welcome by the lady at reception. She was friendly, really smiley and super helpful. We felt very welcomed. We arrived early at the hotel and she said she would call us if our room was ready early, which she did, and that was a nice surprise after a long night in the ferry. The room was great, spacious, super clean and comfortable. The solarium is a real plus to have a drink in the evening or to chill in the morning. Finally, we loved the breakfast! Home made cakes were a real plus, and so much choice. We recommend this hotel for your stay! Thank you.

A bit outdated, but clearly lots of efforts are done to keep it well maintained. Also staff is very kind and helpful. We felt welcomed, even if conditions are not the best. A bit of refurbishment at swimming pool area (especially windows) will do a lot of good. What was surprisingly good was the hotel s restaurant. Food was great and staff very attentive. Both dinner and breakfast were super!

A comfortable hotel with great breakfast and good evening meals situated only a few minutes (by car) from the centre of Ajaccio with great views of the bay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Car parking at the hotel was a little problematic.

Nice pool, nice terrace, lift out of order, very confusing building. I loved it, but couldn't work out the building - IT'S JUST A BUILDING! No, it's got a weird mezzanine thing going on... beware. FREE BREAKFAST WOO! Free and easy parking as well!

The hotel is good value, convenient and comfortable. It is a beautiful walk around the bay to the old city - a walk of about 35/40 minutes. It has everything going for it except the wifi is a disaster. If you are relying on the internet for travel bookings or business do not book here. The wifi is a disgrace and we gave up after the first day - it drops in and out and you have to keep logging out and in after 2 minutes of use. We had one critical booking to confirm and we could not complete as the wifi would not stay on long enough to do so. I am only able to write this review now that we are at our next stop. We would never book here again but if you don’t need wifi it may be perfect for you.

Very very nice fully refreshed rooms and bathrooms. Well decorated, with an indoor swimming pool at the top and a super terrace surrounding Ajaccio.|In my opinion this hotel definitely merits 3 stars !||The cons are perhaps the parking, which is quite small (not enough car places for all rooms) the location pretty far from the downtown (you need a car, approx 5-7mn) and the included and free breakfast which is quite « simple ».||But globally, I fully recommend this hotel if you’re looking for an abordable excellent 2* in Ajaccio. You will feel like in a 3* sup :-)
