My wife and I visited for a week last summer and I’ve only just realised that I hadn’t posted a not posted a review to say how much we loved Villa Caroline.||We stayed in a beautiful room on the second floor, with a balcony overlooking the lawn area and lake. The views were incredible and the facilities first class.||Breakfast was marvellous, with a tremendous selection of top quality options. I loved having local cured trout to start my day.||We ate several times at Lisca, and the food was fabulous.||We had an incredible stay and have recommended VC to all our friends.

Location is superb as it is literally on the lake side. Possible to make a walk in the sourroundings. Staff is great however there are some elements to improve: - breakfast: this needs a big upgrade. Scrambled eggs from powder is not appreciated and there are no vegetables offered. Choice is rather limited in general esp for someone eating sour.. There is a coffee machine for free service but not good quality. Asked for a proper capucino as I saw they have a professional machine in the kitchen but did not see any difference. - room: booked the biggest suite (Suite Caroline). Lamels of the blonds are falling down and unable to make proper dark within the day. The room is not for family with local kid. We decided to put our baby in the bathroom finally so that she can have a sleep in the afternoon. I did not signal this to the staff as I have seen that there are several lamels fallen down earlier and I know that these kind of things do not get repaired during the weekend in France. (I leave in France for 15 years) otherwise itnis spacious and wirh good quality furnitures. Bathroom: silicons needed a remplacement around the bath tub and the shower but this is a common problem in many hotels as it is small job and need to make the replacement freuqently

This was a lovely place to retreat to at the end of the day. We had a gorgeous view of the lake from our balcony and the room was clean and comfortable. We ate dinner at the restaurant one night and everything there was delicious. If you are looking for a place outside of Annecy with a relaxing atmosphere this is it!

Clean and comfortable rooms. Hidden gem. Beautiful lake view. Small but nice wellness. Friendly staff. Very warm room, but opened the sliding door to let the fresh air in from the Alps.

Incredible Spa hotel. Very friendly staff. Views from rooms are incredible. Very comfortable beds, great room, very clean. An amazing location to base a cycling adventure from or any water sport you enjoy. Highly recommend them. Incredible high speed WiFi!!!

We had such a great experience here in August. We only stayed one night but the room was excellent, a very comfortable bed. Amazing views, with direct access to the garden and beach. We used the paddle boards, which was a nice extra. We ate in the restaurant one evening and had lovely food and great service. We are planning on another visit.

Beautiful hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. We stayed for 3 nights at this lovely hotel. Good restaurant and great breakfast.

Beautiful location, but a serious flaw in how the hotel handles early checkouts. We stayed 4 nights in the family apartment — two adults, a toddler, and an infant. The view over the lake and mountains was stunning, and the staff we met during the day were lovely. But our departure was a disaster. We had an early flight and informed reception the day before that we'd be checking out around 6 AM. Since there's no staff or reception service overnight, we were told to just leave the key card on the desk and let ourselves out. At 6:01 AM, the key card stopped working. I had just taken our luggage to the car, and when I went back for the last small bag — which included baby formula and bottles — the door wouldn't open. No staff. No help. No one answered the emergency line. We had to leave without those essentials and scramble to replace them at the airport. This could’ve been much worse — imagine if a child had been left in the room. There is no excuse for a hotel not to have a working system in place for early departures, especially when they've been notified ahead of time. Really disappointing end to an otherwise good stay.
