LES BASTIDES DE MIMIZAN

We didn't have a great experience here. The hotel seemed to be run by a couple who lacked customer focus and clearly didn'tenjoy what they were doing. We were two couples when we arrived. He gave us one card between us with a code to enter the building if it was locked up when we returned. He told us to photograph it! Presumably as he didn't want to hand out two! That basically sums it up. It claims to be bike friendly but there is nowhere to store bikes. There was a flimsy bike rack in full view of the adjacent bike track. That's a joke. Our friends didn't feel that was secure/adequate and put their bikes in their room over night. The owner caught them in the morning he was to be fair always prowling around watching us and insisted on inspectingthe room for damage not that they were exactlypristine. My wife asked if we could take a few things from breakfast for a picnic and said we would pay for them and he said no.

This place was my home for 1 week. It| was such a charming place,as the rest of Mimizanbeach. The owners I took to my heart as they were so nice and we had a good connection. Hope you make it back to Normandie my friends. |All my love|Daniel from Sweden

We stayed here in August and the owner made us feel right at home :-) The hotel is located near the cycle path and is very convenient for those who, like us, arrive by bike.

We arrived on a tandem and received a warm and friendly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is run to a very high standard. The owners clearly enjoy running the hotel and do so very professionally. We stayed for two nights and ate in the restaurant both nights. The food was delicious and the service attentive without being intrusive. The hotel is well maintained and the shower was very good. We enjoyed our stay very much indeed.

We stayed in this hotel on our way to Portugal and also on our way back to NL. It is a little off the highway but please do. This family owned hotel really pay attention to hospitality. The dinner and breakfast are amazing. Great choice at high quality at a very affordable price. This cook is doing a great job. Setting is cozy and the outdoor space very pleasant. Rooms in very different sizes but all ok and we'll equipped. The Treehouse is really fun when you stay with kids.

Really good find. Our hosts and their staff were very welcoming. No sooner had I asked if I could rent a bike that a bike was produced for me to borrow. The hotel is right on the cycle lane with easy as access to the beaches. The evening meals were fantastic and really good value. All together we had an excellent 4 nights stay. Might be a 2 star hotel but it felt like a lot more than that!

Our children nearly exploded with happiness when we entered this stunning, authentic, comfortable, stylist hotel. It has been furnished with thought and style. They can send up a delicious breakfast up on a pulley. It even has an out door tap to wash your feet from the beach. The beds are lush and the bathroom fully equipped with a wonderful hot shower. ||We borrowed bikes and it’s an easy cycle to the beach. We cycled in the forest and to the lake in the morning and did surf school in the afternoon. ||The owners were just lovely and so helpful. ||Can not recommend highly enough.

Situated in a quiet residential area but only a 1.5 km walk to a lovely beach. Easy drive to the shops and other beaches etc.| Attractive bedroom and pleasant bathroom with a bath and shower and some toiletries. Room 8 if I remember correctly. |Owners are kind,friendly and helpful, though not obtrusive.|Delicious and copious breakfast with nice home made jams,cakes and pastries and very fresh fruit salad.Very good value for the price.|Drinks available and there is a shady,pleasant terrace.|
