CABRERA LUIS

Professionally run camping, but as a couple travelling with a small tent and car it was not the best value for the fairly high price; we could not park the car next to the tent and had to move in between other campers to get to our pitch. Facilities were good.

Camping La Pointe is the closest campsite you'll get to the towns and beaches of Capbreton and Hossegor. The 4 star rating that it has is probably stretching things a little. The bar and restaurant areas are great and whilst the shop and pool are perfectly adequate the wash block could do with some updating. Only having 3 showers in the block we were closest to was bad enough but 1 was stuck on cold water only so effectively there were only 2. Make sure you bring your own loo roll as this is not provided either (something I'd expect with a four star rating). Other than that it was a nice campsite and I'd stay there again if in the area.

Nice site. The 2 person Nature House was small but we'll equipped with a microwave, 2 ring gas hob and electric coffee maker. The bedroom was very small with very little space to move around the double bed. The bar restaurant on site served nice meals at a reasonable price. There is an on site shop which we gave up using after the first visit as it did not open at the time stated. Would go there again if visiting the area.

Spaces allocated are not very big and really close to each other. Not much privacy. Shower hot and cold but rarely at the right temperature. Good size swimming pool and nice restaurant with terrasse and good food

The day we arrived they already made us pay without even letting us see the facilities or the apartment itself. When we asked to do so, the girl who was in reception told us in a rude way: "It's the same apartment as that one" (pointing to one other apartment and without seeing the inside). The day we had to leave, a woman (probably the owner of the camping) told us in a very rude way that our apartment was left dirty even it wasn't true. We cleaned everything, the dishes, the bed etc. She just wanted to clean the apartment with our help in 5 minutes, leave the blankets and just go. She even mentioned that we had to bring things to clean from Spain (VERY RUDE WAY OF TREATING US). It was a very disappointing way of leaving the camping and it made us realize that we wouldn't recommend it to anyone, even our worst enemy.

Lovely camping. We had the kindest check in with the gentleman at the reception with a nice welcome bag :-) Point of improvement would be the hygiene of the sanitary facilities.

Booked this place for a Surf trip. Rented a 6-7 Berth Mobile Home. All the matresses were damp, the sheets were filthy and the mobile home was dirty and smelt of mould. Outside there was a paper plate (!) being used to try and stop a broken gutter.||||We tried to air the dampest of the mattresses outside but then were verbaly abused by the Management who demanded a €60 Cleaning deposit in cash in addition to the €300 that was already on a card. We asked them to put that on the card but they refused. Upon suffering more abuse we decided to leave. We were then subject to a 20 minute cleaning inspection and were pulled up because we had not dried some of the glass tumblers and a small piece of paper was found behind the toliet downpipe.||||Unless you are extremely desperate I would advise that you dont stay here.

My camping car got stuck in the pitch because it was too sandy. they pull me out but they told me to move the camper in the middle of the area where the ground was harder and they did not fix the no good ground.||I was very close to the people of the other pitch and I had to apologize all the time for disturbing them.||Of corse they made me pay the full price pitch for half of it!!! Nobody even apologize for that!!||NEVER AGAIN! Capbreton is full of campings.
