I’d give this place a solid 3/5. Overall, the food unfortunately reminded me a bit of hospital cuisine — not in taste, but in texture. Many of the dishes had a very gel-like consistency. It honestly felt like the chef is currently going through an “agar-agar phase,” which didn’t quite work for me across a full menu. The lobster (pictured) was particularly disappointing. Instead of showcasing the ingredient, it came as small gel spheres with lobster and balsamic — nicely plated, but lacking substance and satisfaction. That said, there were definitely some highlights. The squab, the fish, and especially the caviar with pear sorbet were well executed and enjoyable. Desserts, however, fell short again. The chocolate pie continued the gel theme and tasted more like diluted cocoa with sugar — I couldn’t finish it. Another downside was the lack of a wine pairing, which felt like a missed opportunity at this level. In addition, there wasn’t really any sense of theater or excitement in the presentation of the dishes. For a restaurant at this level, I expected a bit more creativity or storytelling on the plate. The overall atmosphere also felt somewhat cold when we first walked in, which didn’t help set the tone for the experience. All in all, having recently dined at several restaurants across Europe — including some excellent ones in Vienna and Italy at roughly half the price — I struggled to understand the justification for the 3-star level here. With a bit more balance in textures, a warmer atmosphere, and a stronger focus on showcasing ingredients rather than technique, this could be a much more compelling experience.

An absolute wonder. Service has the right level of both professionalism and friendlyness, not stilted. And the cuisine... just totally amazed by the technique and creativity, how to create products tastes encounters while subliming them. You discover or rediscover every product in your plate, like you never seen before. This is just proper mastery. Or wizardry.

What an experience this place is, from the setting amidst the Bois de Boulogne as a 'shed' of the hunting estate, to the beautiful interior. From the warm welcome and impeccable service to the pure french cuisine. This is the place to go to if you want to enjoy in a relaxed setting, but still want top quality. Pictures speak for themselves.

I had an amazing dinner here. I got the Pre menu, and it was quite a lot of food. The best dish of the night is of course the iconic Langoustine. The different approaches to bouillabaisse and sea urchin were very refreshing. But I think they should change the caviar dish. The combination of caviar and sorbet were too fishy for me. The wine list was great. The service was top notch. The waiters were very attentive and sweet. The restaurant is one of the most beautiful that I have been to.

So I’ve been to several Michelin three star restaurants and this was honestly the best meal we have ever had. We came here for lunch because we wanted to see the park during the daytime. The service was a perfect balance of professional and attentive. There was zero attitude. The courses were perfectly timed and well paced. Lunch took approximately three hours. Decor is upscale, elaborate, and beautiful. The food is exquisite. Every course got better and better and better. We remarked every single time beginning with a crab course that it was the best version of that dish we had ever had. By the end of the meal we had concluded that this was in fact the best meal we had ever had at a restaurant. The drinks were outstanding as well. We did the 9 course version and it was plenty of food.

Absolutely exquisite experience at Le Pré Catelan. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, charming, and attentive, making the entire evening feel truly special. Every course was beautifully presented and thoughtfully crafted, not just dinner, but a full culinary experience. A wonderful way to discover and appreciate the elegance and creativity of French haute cuisine. Truly a memorable evening in Paris.

Beautiful Setting and Wonderful Staff Visited this restaurant with high expectations, given its reputation and fine-dining status. The location was beautiful, elegant atmosphere and a lovely setting that really set the tone for the evening. The staff were excellent throughout: attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the Michelin-star standard. The presentation was nice, but the flavours were a weird, nothing particularly memorable or exciting. It wasn’t bad, just not what I’m into. Overall, a pleasant evening thanks to the service and ambiance, but the food itself left me feeling a little “meh.” The champagne was awesome though haha

Food: €435 per person Wine: €850 It’s shame that I want to order a bottle of Rayas 2011 on the wine list however told the last bottle has been opened at lunch time🤪 what a consequence! The service is nice and warm, the food is good as well. The most impressive dishes are the caviar, and the main course - pigeon. The dessert is quite normal, not comparable with similar standard restaurant.
