This is the place that you are looking for if you want a breakfast, a coffee, a brunch. Very nice atmosphere, cozy, friendly staff, very good coffee, nice sweets, savory dishes. Open when everything else is closed. You found it :)
While wandering Avignon's historic streets, we found this restaurant and decided to stop for breakfast. The food was incredible! (Meat breakfast platter, and avocado toast) The portions were very generous, so definitely come hungry! The staff was very friendly and accommodating, rolling out the large awning as the rain threatened our peaceful breakfast spot. If you're looking for a filling morning/brunch meal, stop here and you won't be disappointed!
I’m sorry to say the food made my wife and I feel awful. Also, the wait was insane at a time when the restaurant wasn’t busy. I don’t like to complain but I am literally sick to my stomach.
We were looking for a quick bite before catching our train back to Paris and stumbled upon Simple Simon. Miraculously they had enough space to fit two more. We ordered eggs with bacon, cafe au lait and their herby fries. Everything was delicious. I wish we had had room for dessert as the table with all of their offerings was beside us and each cake looked amazing. The cafe is eclectically designed with odd bits of antique floral pottery pieces. It’s cozy and comfortable, like sitting in your grandma’s kitchen but cool. The staff were lovely. Several diners were dining alone, so a nice place to come sit with a book and have a delicious brunch.
Very unlikely and welcome find in such a deeply French region, this English team-room style restaurant serves incredible breakfast and lunch. Very-well done scones with proper ingredients. All the deserts were great. The esthetics and atmosphere will transport you straight to the Lake District and yet it feels strangely fitting in that cute street near by the Papal Palace.
Excellent place to sit and eat after the hustle of walking through the Palace. Great service reasonably priced.
Wonderful food with wonderful staffs!!
A little bit cramped, there's very little room to move your chair or comfortably get up if you need/want to. The brunch was good but nothing extraordinary, it felt slightly rushed and seemed poorly assembled. Regardless the staff was lovely and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant!
