This B&B was a wonderful surprise. From the very beginning when we booked, the owner Joel took care to write us and ask us when was the estimated time of arrival, and that our dog was welcome in the "House of Happiness." Upon our arrival, we discovered a very pleasant and welcoming B&B in the heart of the village of Aups. The room was delightfully furnished, the bathroom as well, the breakfast area in a garden created within the perimeter of the house was fabulous. Hearty breakfast, delicious coffee! Then the welcome from Joel, an artist and painter, made us feel at home! Very comfortable bed for sleeping. During our stay the room temperature was very hot (35°C) but the room, although equipped with an air conditioner, was well ventilated and we didn't need to use it. Very satisfied.||NOTE OF CAUTION: PAY ATTENTION TO THE INDICATIONS ON THE WEBSITE TO ACCESS THE STRUCTURE! YOU CAN'T GET THERE BY CAR ALTHOUGH GOOGLE MAPS OFFERS YOU! You have to park the car in AV VICTOR MARIA and then walk down for a short distance to the B&B.

CIGARETTES! When I arrived, the reception did not smell like cigarettes Later on in the night, the whole entire room upstairs was completely filled with cigarette smoke and my chest was hurting and I felt nauseous The owner of the place is a malicious chainsmoker smokes inside Went down and had to ask him twice to please smoke outside, did nothing Absolutely disgusting, not everyone wants to go ahead and smell your cigarettes, please be respectful of other people, You're forcing your People to breathe in your second hand smoke I don't have a choice not to breathe You do have a choice not to smoke. Ended up having to sleep with all the windows open and towels tucked under the front door to try and keep the smoke from coming in, was freezing. The room was comfortable, 70 euro, hot shower, Wi-Fi was okay but not great but works, would recommend getting a second internet router and putting it upstairs, Would never come back.

A bit of a last minute find. ||||La Maison du Bonheur is a beautiful small Bed and Breakfast located in the town of Aups.||||1st of all the place is a bit difficult to find, don't be put off! This just adds to the charm. It is sat just behind a small church in the small, quaint and beautiful alleys of Aups.||||Aups is a small town about 20 minutes drive from the Verdon Gorge, but Aups it's self is worth a little wander through. The town is tiny, with little winding alley ways, small shops and cafes and very little traffic in the actual town centre. ||||La Maison is owned by a local painter who has his work on show through out the house (don't worry, he won't try and sell you it!) and makes you feel extremely at home. The 2 rooms are simple, light and clean with one ensuite and one with a separate bathroom and toilet.||||There is a small garden courtyard where you can chill out. Having breakfast there, sitting under the olive tree, surrounded by beautiful flowers, again with a little bit of conversation with the owner is the best beginning for the day. ||||All in all the La Maison du Bonheur is a beautiful wee place with character, quiet atmosphere and a good experience.||||Definitely worth a stay.

This is a small, friendly B&B, with a nice terrace and friendly service. We had a number of problems. First, the street view room has a separate toilet that requires you to descend some very steep stairs to the floor below. Second this toilet is in a public position in the property. The garden view room may be OK, but we cannot recommend the street view room. Next, the booking website said that credit cards were accepted, they were not and we had to use all our cash and rush down to the cash machine. Finally the property is very hard to find, even with the owner's instructions. A shame as Aups is a great place to stay

✅ We stayed over night during a motorcycle ride. The place is fabulous! We enjoyed a glass of wine in the very nice courtyard after a long day riding in the area. Time is a wonderful host, very accommodating and friendly. The place belongs in a magazine! Our room was cozy, we used the air con a little but the evening was cool enough with a window open, the bed was very confortable and the bathroom was spotless. Tim prepared us with a very nice breakfast the next morning, we enjoyed our croissant and coffee in the courtyard. Wonderful place all around, we enjoyed walking around Aups and had a nice dinner in town - Very convenient with many restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend the Maison du Bonheur to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans ce gîte. Dès notre arrivée, notre hôte nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse, ce qui nous a tout de suite mis à l’aise. Tout au long du séjour, il s’est montré attentionné et disponible, veillant à ce que nous ne manquions de rien. Le petit-déjeuner, copieux et varié, était un vrai régal chaque matin : des produits frais et savoureux, joliment présentés, qui donnaient envie de bien commencer la journée. Le gîte est confortable, propre et bien équipé, idéal pour se reposer et profiter pleinement de la région. L’environnement calme et agréable contribue à rendre le séjour encore plus reposant. En résumé, nous repartons enchantés et n’hésiterons pas à recommander cette adresse à nos proches.

Avons passé deux nuits agréables dans ce lieux. La chambre est à l'étage, attention escalier court mais étroit, est jolie avec vue sur une mignonne petite cours. La maison est située dans une bucolique ruelle étroite du village, avec passage sinueux entre les maisons, avons adoré. Petit déjeuner bien garni. Propriétaire très sympathique, présent mais discret.

La Maison Du Bonheur lever verkligen upp till sitt namn – det är ett hus fyllt av lycka! Atmosfären är varm, välkomnande och genuint fransk, med en charm som gör att man känner sig som hemma direkt. Maten är fantastisk – vällagad, smakrik och gjord med stor omsorg. Varje rätt är en liten upplevelse i sig, med råvaror som känns både fräscha och lokala. Miljön är mysig och rofylld, perfekt för både en romantisk middag och en härlig kväll med vänner. Personalen är otroligt vänliga och gör allt för att skapa en minnesvärd upplevelse. Det här är inte bara en restaurang, utan en plats där man känner sig sedd och uppskattad. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – La Maison Du Bonheur är precis vad namnet lovar, en plats full av glädje och njutning!
